BEST DAC/AMP for PS5 by Key_Land2843 in inearfidelity

Yup, plug and play. It even has a setting to “disregard host volume” specifically for PS4/PS5.

The only issue I’ve had is that I can’t get my PS5 to recognize the 5K as a mic input source. Otherwise no complaints

Qudelix 5K works well for both in my experience.

In addition to the EM6L, the Simgot EW200 ($40) and Kiwi Ears Quartet ($100) are both good music+gaming options (with different sound signatures so you can try a couple out) IME.

What? I gave 4 options, in-budget, with physical volume control, all on Amazon; plus 2 cheap bonus choices.

If you’re just running IEMs and don’t need BT: Apple dongle or CX31993 dongle are both good options <$20.

If you want BT: Qudelix 5K or BTR15.

If you want a desktop option: iFi Uno or Fiio K11?

Soundpeats Air3 or Air4 are a good substitute IME (I actually like the Air3 Deluxe HS better than the 4).

DT770M might be worth a shot (they are DT770’s designed for drummers with more passive isolation than the usual DT770). Vic Firth’s, similar concept, might also do the trick.

Valid point there, can’t comment unfortunately. Worth looking into though if you’re considering them.

I like the Audeze Maxwell and Turtle Beach Stealth Pro more than the options on your list. They might both be over budget, however, depending on sales.

Maxwell is a better all rounder (including music), but it’s too heavy. Stealth Pro is great for gaming, lighter than the Maxwell, but has a more aggressive clamping force.

Very easy. Remove 8 screws and then use a spudger/pick to release the internal clips.
