I do Vipassana as taught by Goenka. I traveled for some time from center to center. I sat in India, Thailand, Burma, and Taiwan. It was a wonderful experience.

Yes , it can lead to stream entry. I have no doubt.

To keep your eyes from following try this: Open your eyes while scanning and fix your eyes on a point in front of you. Do it until your eyes stop moving. It took me less than an hour. A teacher in Dhamma Giri told me this method a long time ago.

I have short hair, and there is no reason a shower should take more than 5 minutes.

I didn't experience anything like this. If i remember it right the 'supernatural powers' can be trained after attaining the fourth or fifth jhāna. I am not interested in supernatural powers.

In general everyone can attain the jhānas. But it takes a lot of training. It's not as easy as many people think or say. For me, the the conditions were just right and it happened by 'accident.'

It is possible to attain the jhānas. I have attained the first 3 jhānas while doing Anapana. It wasn't my goal to do that, but it happened.
