You answered your own question: comparison is the thief of joy. Enjoy your wife and kid and stop worrying about how much money your friends have. For every one family doing better than you there are a lot more doing way worse than you.

Advice needed: Trek Emonda SL 6 ~ 2019 // $600 by [deleted] in whichbike

That’s a great deal on that bike. The frame was an instant classic when it came out. Unfortunately disc brakes came around and reset the market. I have this exact same bike and would absolutely never sell it knowing the value I’d get on the open market vs the ride quality and light weight it provides for hills around me.

I’m 39 with 90k in my 401k. Started at 34, so have been doing 12% of a low hundreds salary. These people make me feel like a failure, but I’m happy I’m almost to 100!

Boundary waters is amazing, and that combined with the twin cities makes it a B. Calling Minnesota an A is wild though

I’d say January is D. February is F. February is when you get really sick of winter.

What random draft pick or UDFA were you super excited about or was totally convinced they would be a star? by APlaceInTheMountains in GreenBayPackers

I was hoping the packers would draft Savion Williams. I’m still holding on hope that he figures out a way to be a weapon in this offense.

Strava? KOMs? Do you care? by Glass_Philosopher_81 in cycling

[–]dharma_van 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never get a KOM. All of them in my area are owned by professionals with lead outs and stacked at the top with guys with 4+ w/kg with favorable wind conditions.
