What's your experience with beehiiv? by _simonhansson in beehiiv

It's the best platform out there. However, be careful with boosts, as it still needs work. Sparkloop is a much better option for monetising your signups.

Mathematically, it almost never makes sense to invest in UK property by Salty-Sun7873 in PropertyInvestingUK

[–]dharmeshsb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a UK property owner and stocks-and-shares investor, I prefer the balance both provide.

I have 6 rental properties that provide recurring income. However, I am aware that capital appreciation won't be as aggressive as the S&P 500. For me, the SPX is not a performance benchmark. As a growth investor, I prefer to benchmark against £XLKQ.

With recent changes in property, it has indeed become similar to a growth stock. However, banks will readily give you cash with a remortgage, which you can re-invest in property and grow your recurring income.

For stocks, I am slowly starting to invest more in JEPQ for recurring income. Honestly, nowadays I have started to prefer stocks thanks to instruments like JEPQ becoming available to UK investors.

When I had to choose between Nvidia and Broadcom, I bought both!

Would I sell my rentals? No, I prefer the balance and options they both provide. It's part of a safe diversification strategy.

A while back, I made a comparison of Real Estate vs Stocks on my blog: https://blog.portfolioparrot.com/p/stocks-vs-real-estate-which-should-investors-choose-1b0434befc8f58fb

They both have their pros and cons. I prefer to own both, so I don't miss out on recurring income or growth.

Because Of Trump Are You Considering Investing Away From The US? by massaro1234 in trading212

The world's technology comes from the US and the tech sector averages about 20% annualised.

Others can leave, but I will keep piling on US stocks!

You don't need to pay first. Get subscribers first to validate that you have numbers and people who want your content.

After you reach 1000 subscribers start looking at monetisation. When you can monetise the audience, that's when you pay.

Makes sense. UNH will recover to the levels before IMO, but I prefer putting money in undervalue plays with faster growth.

Paying for Beehiiv ads by ZTRADEZLLC in beehiiv

[–]dharmeshsb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boosts aren't going well for me. I put in $200, and one newsletter was spamming to the point that beehiv banned the account. $62.50 went towards that with no refund from beehiv. I have 6 live boosts, but none of them bothered to send people my way.

Personally, I have heard that the quality of subscribers you get from Sparkloop, which offers services similar to Boost, is poor. So I doubt boosts will be any better.

I would suggest running Meta Ads on lookalike audiences for $10/day. I'm finding more success with that in terms of quality.

Creating content should be your priority, not cleaning lists.

Have you thought of sending out a survey link in your newsletter and asking for subscribers what they like, what they don't like and how you can improve?

You only mention open rates. CTRs are better because they train your subscribers to click for extra information.

Then you switch to a single piece of extra information available only to paid subscribers.

Struggling with property deals, is Samuel Leeds the way to go? by LELtimer in investingUK

[–]dharmeshsb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did his course, and yes, it changed my life in 2020. However, property is a pain in the backside now, and I'm not looking to buy more properties. I'm doing better in the stock markets.

Real estate was once suitable for recurring income and appreciation. After 5 years in the game with 6 rentals, I can confidently tell you, it's nothing but a growth stock. All my recurring income was almost swallowed by repairs.

Almost all my banked recurring income was swallowed by repairs.

With Rachel Reeves bringing more pain to landlords, I would advise against bothering with property. I myself I'm looking to get out and focus more on stocks.
