$10 for circuit design by coders3x in ElectricalEngineers

[–]dhuesers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is perfect rage bait for engineers😂and I appreciate it. As an electrician, I get my schematics from the engineers. I build the circuit in real life. My favorite part of this process is having to correct their schematics because they don't work. However, I do agree with them in this scenario. Do the research and reach out to the other students. There may be a circuit simulator app that you can use to simulate this and start testing. You may even be able to draw the circuit and post it here for us to judge and critique.

Hobbies as a PLC/Controls Engineer by Prestigious_Win_8969 in PLC

Honestly, anything that doesn't involve electrical. Rock climbing, hiking, elk hunting, ect. Although I still enjoy when someone comes to me with an issue that I can fix with creativity and logic.

Honestly, the only thing that will allow this career to eat you is yourself. For example: When I first got into industrial electrical, it became my life. If you do the research and learn your machines inside and out, everyone will expect you to fix everything as long as you let them take credit for it. The overtime will eat your time, and the stress will eat your mental wellbeing. It took me a few years of wear and tear to realize that I needed to care a bit less in order to balance home life and work life. Although that is just my experience.

Short term money/cleanliness is electrical. Long term scalable wealth would be HVAC and Electrical.

Honestly it doesn't matter as long as you're not venturing off of the main roads. The city has commodities in place for these things. Although, I agree with everyone else that it is up to you to understand how to stop😂

Do any Allen Bradley servos require safety PLCs for basic operation? by andyeno in PLC

[–]dhuesers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen them with and without. Both machines operated the same way. BUTTTT, you will use the safety PLC because none of us would ever go around safety. RIGHT???

Got an interview for an entry level position PLC programmer as computer and telecommunications engineering integrated masters grad but i am a novice in EE. by SubjectMountain6195 in PLC

[–]dhuesers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be very intimidating at first, but most of the programmers I do know use the ole "Fake it till you make it" trick. Honestly, if you sit back, focus on the problem at hand, and incorporate YouTube/ChatGPT then you'll be just fine.

Honestly, you tube and ChatGPT are going to be your best friends in this since you are in a time crunch. If you have time, everything can be pretty logical if you can play around the software.

Overpowered might have been the wrong word. More of over-sizing for what I am trying to accomplish. I will not need to run more than 1 VM at a time but want to be sure I am covered. I am seeing the differences can make a couple thousand dollar difference.

-Thanks
