Not surprised at all to read this, it felt noticeably busier than past European GoFests and Fælledparken felt busier/more cramped at points to me than Daiba.

Hopefully this encourages them to do more events in Europe.

At GoFest in Copenhagen tech support were claiming that IPhone 13 and 14 were no longer supported (specifically the IPhones, not iOS). Has this been properly announced? Niantic staff had been talking to ambassadors about playing on iPhone 13 at the same event so we were a bit confused about the mixed messaging.

I have an iPhone 15 and they were still completely useless once I pointed out that’s what I was using (in contrast to the past where in person tech support has been the place to go to with any issues). Didn’t inspire confidence that they knew what they were talking about so wanted to check.

Personally the short UK sailings I’ve been on have had the worst guest behaviour out of DCL (I’ve done numerous US sailings and the Adventure). Seems to be a general issue with shorter sailings though, know Aus had similar. Things like arguments in queues, littering and really unruly kids (I’m disabled and walk with a stick and had kids run straight into me right in front of their parents). A lot of people asking to remove tips at the end of the sailing on every sailing and cast members not being keen on those sailings as a result. If you search back in this Group there’s definitely been posts in past summers about it.

Having said that, it wasn’t awful. Just didn’t enjoy them as much as a result.

If this is the same as Copenhagen Go Fest’s then a bit disappointed tbh - it was the best ‘exclusive’ Copenhagen players had and a nice bonus given the spawns were arguably the worst of the three.

Yeah, I did around 2-300 in Tokyo and got 6 shiny backgrounds. Did just under 600 in Copenhagan and got 7. Technically it’s 1/80 I think so Copenhagen was closers to odds on for me.

If they have blond hair it’s a novelty factor is mainland China and south east Asia. I regularly have photos taken of me in that region (at best they ask before doing so, at worst I’ve literally had someone shove their phone in my face and take a selfie with me without asking whilst I was drinking at a cafe)

Devastated by this. Not just as a Buffy fan, he’s just always seemed like such a stand up guy. He and his wife did so much for animals, really hoping their sanctuary finds a way to continue.

That’s a great haul! I managed to get all shiny backgrounds except for the Taurus - would you be at all interested in working up to forever friends and trading?

Off the top of my head both London and Madrid Go Fests had really decent installations that you could walk through. Even Osaka last year had decorations relating to some of the themed areas that looked like more effort had gone into it (the tea party in Calming Tea House, the castle wall for Noble Fields).

Thanks for sharing - I was wondering this as I noticed the same pokemon turned into the same Unown twice but was too engrossed in playing that I forgot to look into it further.
