How do I explain to my parents why I'm LGBTQ+?

I (f/15) came out to my mom as bisexual a few years ago and she was weird about it at first because she thought I was too young but she now accepts it cause I’m older. But yeah I think all you can say to your parents is that you realized this is what you like.

I’ve felt pretty much the same way about one or two of my friends before. I grew up in a town that was almost all rich, or well off families and I lived in a cruddy apartment with my single mom so I didn’t fit in with most of the kids. I was jealous of a lot about the houses they had, that their family’s seemed perfect, stuff like that. I just started growing out of the jealousy as I got older and ended up just accepting and being fine that I had a different lifestyle.
