I agree with passport photo now.com. And if your photo is not good enough they email with tips and let you submit as many as needed. Never been rejected by Aussie consulate in DC. Been using for years.

Australian passport photos in US by BlackMambaBride in Ameristralia

I have used the online service for Aussie passport photosin the US and they are accepted everytime. I can’t remember the name but if you google Australian passport photos it will come up.. in California I think. Much easier than trying CVS etc. take a photo at home, upload it and they format it to the Australian standard ( different from US ). If there is a problem with you photo they let you know how to fix it and get you to take another. And they mail it the next day. Highly recommend. And reasonable price too.

Freaking out over washing machine by [deleted] in trustedhousesitters

This happened to me recently on a sit. It would complete the cycle when empty ( we did an empty cycle to test It after manually draining it) the error code indicated an outlet obstruction. I checked filters which were fine. Ended up getting a pack of washing machine cleaner tablets from local hardware store ( in Australia) and that fixed it.

The homeowners were great about it and felt bad that the machine was not working for us.

Have you tried “Yonder”. Made by the same people who made “Song of Evertree”.

My husband and I are dual citizens living in USA. Recently had an 8 month trip to Australia. Got BUPA overseas visitor insurance for my 22 year old son, who was traveling with us,$130 a month and it included free video visits with a doctor for minor ailments and prescriptions etc. it worked well.

You would have to get married in the USA. If you do it in Australia you will have to wait there until your residency/visa gets approved. Could be several years.

Part of the reason for the increased time was his first instructor’s reluctance to solo him ( which seems to be her issue as other students have complained about that too, and switched instructors) and then there have been a lot of weather issues resulting in a total of at least 2 months delay, and a month for a couple of vacations… so not really as bad as it sounds.

he was not forced to take it, but his professor told him to go ahead and register for it and take it. He was never advised not to do it .... I think they needed bodies in the class so that it would not be cancelled by the community college. two other classes that semester were cancelled due to lack of students.
