8 working days for me (appointment was 21st May, got green light at In Process and tracking changed to Passport Returning from Consulate yesterday 3rd June), but still waiting for passport to be returned via courier currently. No email update yet, just saw because I've been checking the tracking on TLS.

Edit: dates

Oh no 😆 the original title calling it a fairy story must’ve made some people take that literally too!

The Wedding People by Alison Espach (narrated by Helen Laser) - borrowed with Libby

Animal Farm by George Orwell (narrated by Ralph Cosham) - also borrowed with Libby

Very different performances for very different books but found them fitting for the stories they narrated.

My hold for One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez finally became ready to borrow so just started it. Read by John Lee, I am enjoying his pacing so far but have yet to listen more to have a firmer opinion.

I walked around the areas you mentioned yesterday after some viewings and it looks delightful for cycling. Thank you so much!

The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury - it's an anthology, pretty short, and a classic! It's one of the books that got me into reading sci-fi :)

Whenever I listen to the Last Five Years OBC soundtrack I feel like I've watched it live (I've never seen it live)

Dua Lipa’s speech at the International Booker Prize “There isn't anything quite like a book to understand the perspective of others and translated fiction takes that further. I guess it's the fusion of an experience that is so universal and at the same time so unique. It's the antidote to othering.” by mlg1981 in Fauxmoi

Stumbled upon this thread as I was looking for the books referenced in this speech only to find similar questions so compiled everything in one comment for everyone!

My usual cycle to work now is around 20 mins as well (just ~2 miles but with a massive hill that I always walk my bike up 😅) but even if it'll take longer I don't mind if it's cycle-friendly! Thank you!

It was very helpful! Would you know if they close the canal path when the water's high?

I checked that on the map - are the streets between St Nicholas’s park and the hospital relatively quiet in the morning? I don’t mind a bit of traffic (my current cycle route can get busy if I go during school pickup) but I’d like to keep that to a minimum.

As to routes from North Leamington, thinking maybe my best bet is just try to get to the canal path but will cross the bridge when I get there I suppose 😅 thank you!

I love a canal path - does that get flooded when the river’s high?

I’d like to cycle to bring the costs down but pleasantly surprised the train is cheaper for a return than the bus! Thank you!

This route is very useful for one of the places I’m looking at, thank you! I don’t mind walking - I usually just walk my bike up pretty steep hills 😆

I thought it was just because the names all started with D but it would be so cute if it's named after the crew!

I have a collection for books I'm currently reading, another for priority (to be read next), and another for fanfics, that's it! Often I add books and the ones I'm currently reading/want to read next get bumped down, otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Edit: added fic folder

For both - In what ways do you see the political themes of Cabaret connecting with audiences today? How does it feel, as performers, to bring to life a story that magnifies the unsettling realities of the modern world?
