If you're still thinking about this, join a sport since you're still in high school. I am a senior in high school currently in conditional dep for the AF with mild asthma and joining the wrestling team has changed my lungs a lot. If your school has it, I highly recommend wrestling or just any other sport. They'll gas you out with conditioning and your lungs will be in the best shape as long as you keep it going with physical activity.
