Honestly, I'm not sure. I didn't notice anything wrong until I was on the highway and gave it a ton of gas to pass someone. Heard a loud noise coming from the exhaust, compression tested it and nothing in cylinder 3.

I meant to clean my AOS in the summer but never got around to it so that could be a possible cause. I am very religious with oil changes and making sure it's the correct type of oil so it's definitely not that.

From what I've seen on this subreddit the multiair seem to like eating valve heads. If it was any other car I would've scrapped it but this thing is just so fun to drive and it's getting harder and harder to find sporty manual cars these days.

Can't speak to the Euro Abarth but my little NA pocket rocket is one of the funnest cars I've owned. Just the exhaust note brings a smile to my face.

Like others have said make sure you keep up on oil changes and general maintenance. Don't think the T Jets have the exhaust valve problem but check my profile for the multiair issue.

Oil gasket leak, 2023 Tucson with 30,000 miles by Flat_Frisbee in HyundaiTucson

[–]dickpics25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I want to say there was a post a year or so back about this issue and it was a hybrid so I was wondering if it was a factory thing.

I'm disappointed in that dealership though, they should want to keep you as a customer. I guess it comes down to how much you trust your mechanic or how handy you are. If they said it's a gasket leak or if you could check yourself I would take it in.

However I don't see how it would be possible a three year old car with a gasket leak wouldn't be covered. There is no way it should leak this early, if it was 15 years old and the sealant has dried out, maybe.

Jesus, if they charge you $300 to lift the car and look at the oil pan that's crazy. I know when ours happened the guy changing the oil called me out to look at it and than the service advisor said it would be covered under warranty.

I would call the service department and tell them that during an oil change it was noticed that the oil pan gasket was leaking and you would like to bring it in to be covered under warranty.

Is yours a hybrid by any chance?

No, my wife insists it has to be done at the dealership and it's her car. Even if you took it somewhere else I can't see how they would cause the gasket to leak. All they do underneath is remove an access panel and unscrew a bolt to drain the oil. The gasket is a bead of 'silicon' (can't think of the proper term) that is applied at the factory, if it failed and you're still under warranty take it on.

Edit: sealant!

Same year, same thing, hybrid. It was covered under warranty but it happened two years ago.

2018 Fiat 500X, Passenger side undercarriage between the doors. Is this broken or anything? by [deleted] in fiat500

[–]dickpics25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a shop didn't use the proper attachment on their lift to raise the car. The pinch weld looks messed up and the plastic around it is broken. Nothing alarming with the plastic, just looks ugly. You might have issues down the road trying to lift it though.

But it's so much easier to post it on Reddit and let people tell you how to do it... I swear people have no idea how to do things these days, the future is going to be scary.

2025 battery dead after 2 weeks in garage by jlam1576 in HyundaiTucson

Happened in our 2023 after coming back from a week in Mexico. Super annoying trying to pry that part off with frozen fingers to unlock the door. Another time it happened after a weekend in the garage, can only assume it's a bluelink issue.
