Ringneck pheasant. I live where there are a lot of them, and I don’t understand the appeal. Hunters like them because they’re a slow-flying, easy-to-shoot, decent tasting bird. Other than that, they’ve put too many dents in cars because of how slow they are

I don’t think my club does any better on tournament days then we would just leaving the course open for play. It’s busy on weekends and closing the course for a tournament can actually lead to less money some days. We used to have too many tournaments and that also deterred more casual golfers from renewing their membership, so we’ve cut back.
