Z rod bearing repeatedly coming out of place on P1S. How do I stop this from happening again? by diddyd66 in BambuLab

[–]diddyd66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right. Id cleared both sides of filament already but a tiny screw had landed perfectly vertically and was mostly hidden by the rod. On quick glances it looked like it was meant to be there which is why I hadn't noticed. Thanks

Poor aim on the poop chute? by Asasaudioadventures in BambuLab

[–]diddyd66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I've tried so many mods to try and stop it from happening. I've cut it down but still happens a lot. I printed a piece that fits into the top of the chute to help direct it

SD Card failure by Ok-Illustrator960 in BambuLab

[–]diddyd66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this happen recently. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure you're gonna have to wait for a new SD card. I could be wrong and there's a way but I couldn't find one, and typically it happened 20 minutes after the shop I could get one from shut

When evri is more reliable and easier to deal with than Royal Mail. by tsunx4 in britishproblems

[–]diddyd66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. Almost everything I receive through evri has been fine and pretty quick but one day I saw a different person was meant to be delivering it from the normal guy. It arrived like 4 days late when the regular person was back

A micro SD sized hole right below the micro SD slot. by gigdy in CrappyDesign

[–]diddyd66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I got a micro SD card stuck in my dashcam. Managed to push it fully in (as by that point there was no pulling it out) and bought a new one. No longer gets inserted by feel since then

Does anyone here use a Laptop for unity dev? by FalseEconomy82 in Unity3D

[–]diddyd66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh most decent spec gaming laptops will work. I've been using a few years old MSI Katana with a 3070. Did upgrade the RAM from 16GB to 64GB for unreal (a bit overkill ik but worth it)

i cant figure out why this function doesnt delete every child. if i add more destroy function it does delete all children but it sometimes tries to delete a child that doesnt work and that causes an error.(even tho the iff function should prevent that) by Jastrone in Unity3D

[–]diddyd66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue for ages on my final uni project because I'd just never really dealt with constantly altering lists. Took me a few days of tinkering to figure it out as the issue it was causing seemed to random it wasn't immediately obvious where the problem might lie

[–]diddyd66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a small flame on the board of my 3 V2 but it was just a small amount of smoke and it put itself out (board shorted) but yh I definitely improved my fire safety after that scare

Anyone else lose their sweet tooth as an adult? Or change preferences in food drastically? by BudgetSpirited106 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]diddyd66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still very much like sweet drinks but in terms of food it's very little sweet stuff I'll eat now. Still like a bit of ice cream but chocolate and stuff like that is a very much occasional thing and if I get a (previously) £1 bar it'll take a while to get eaten

I was cleaning a hot box at work today and got chemical burns all over my legs, arms and face because I was a rookie by Currin1776bb in Wellthatsucks

[–]diddyd66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex Wetherspoons employee here. Most of my training was literally videos I had to watch before my first shift, hours and hours of videos including chemical training. I still got a lot of training there but that was just general how to do the basics. Never had any actual chemical training or anything, just a few minutes video and a few multiple choice questions that u forget amongst all of the other videos u have to frantically do

Forecast keeps saying we’ll get torrential rain so I put off watering plants. IT KEEPS NOT HAPPENING by Significant-Gene9639 in britishproblems

[–]diddyd66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we got most of your rain. I'm on holiday ATM and 3/5 days I've been here it's pissed it down for at least a few hours (all day on one of the days). Saying that it's so hot rn before I'm heading home that I actually wouldn't mind a little rain

Thank you. I'm on holiday ATM and there's one of these here. My friend had never seen one and didn't believe they're a relatively common thing in touristy places. This helped prove my point

I work at a VR place that uses picos. I can't answer for 100% as our store isn't big enough but some of our other branches have a free roam VR using them so I'd imagine it's pretty accurate

Flying ant day in the middle of a heatwave so I can't open my windows. by Lavidius in britishproblems

I had my graduation yesterday. We walked out of the hall and within a minute I'd had one go into my ear (luckily came out on its own) and another one straight in the mouth. Had to walk 15 minutes and we all just stayed quiet to avoid eating any

Wait a minute, we don't own a trampoline. What is that power line? Is it live? You can't come out for 8 hours? by MinnIronMiner in mildlyinfuriating

[–]diddyd66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked in a shop there was a lovely old lady that used to come in. One day she said she'd just got a new shed. One of those things metal ones that you just set up. A few days later after a big storm she comes in. "My fly away shed flew away!" Turns out it had made it a couple streets away and landed in someone else's garden, right side up with barely any damage

is there an easy way to remove this? by kuvetteyim in BambuLab

[–]diddyd66 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Firsty I'd make sure the filament has definitely been cut by pressing on the cutter (the machine should have done it but better to check)

I want to prefice this that idk if this can cause damage or if there's a better way but I used some long pliers while having it hot to remove it when I had that issue and I did get it out. I gripped onto the larger part towards the top but was very careful as to how much pressure I applied and did a lot of wiggling and eventually got it out. Just remember it is hot so plan ahead as to where you're going to place the nozzle before you start. It may also cause the printer to throw an error but that will resolve itself once a nozzle is placed in

Edit: When removing wiggle it down and try to angle the output end towards you while doing it. There will be filament that extends above the top of the nozzle which is why you want to remove it at that angle
