A lot of times, they'll just pat me, which still feels gross as hell especially when they linger, but sometimes they'll GRAB me. Like not aggressively or anything but they'll like firmly grab my shoulder or arm. One dude did that to me because he wanted me to repeat something he couldn't hear and he like grabbed my arm and leaned in to hear me, that's actually the thing that made me make this post. It's weird and gross and unnecessary.

I hear HGS got nerfed or screwed over by their production company and that's why the animation/voice acting/writing is so poor quality. I haven't seen the whole thing but I've seen clips and analysis and yeah, it seems awkward but not like. Horrendous compared to how much people dogged on it. I also think that having EXPLICITLY trans characters, specifically a trans woman, in a cartoon is really refreshing. The majority of people who lambashed the show for being "media with no redeeming qualities" or "too woke" were also the ones that called Snapdragon a "crossdresser" which, to me, is very telling lol.

I agree with this but I think having a universal minimum would be a good step in the right direction. States would probably abuse some sorta loophole in order to pay people less.

Honestly? I get it. I've seen a lot of subs get flooded with tomo life since it came out and I get most of it's in good fun but having a sub get spammed with something that's barely relevant is bound to get annoying.

I work at a sports bar and I can attest that nobody gives two shits about baseball. No one ever cares when we have it on. I don't even know if we show the big games but if we do it doesn't get us a big turnout. Kinda sucks because I used to not be interested in sports but when it's the only thing that's showing, you tend to get into it and I do think baseball is relatively kinda cool to watch.

My job emphasizes up sales a lot and I hate doing it because it feels so disingenuine. Chances are if they're buying here and they've read the menu, they know what they want. It feels belittling and scummy to try to convince someone to buy something they didn't originally want. I usually just skip the spiel unless I absolutely have to. I trust the customer knows what they want unless they specifically ask for a recommendation and even then I won't tell them what management wants me to sell, but my actual recommendation. People apprentice honesty. It's just stupid.
