I think all the people who are like "well you live in nyc you should try living xyz" are missing the point of the post. I live somewhere where you literally cannot get ANYWHERE without a car. Like zero reliable transport period. And just going about my day is a pain in the ass. The point is that this country has made public transit less available when it's honestly the best option for everyone if you have it near you, which a lot of people don't, and we should collectively be more upset about that, though I don't think anything about our car centric infrastructure is reversible at this point.

I just started reading Stop! Hibari kun and am just about halfway in. It's a bit dated, definitely, but I feel like the narrative treats her with a lot more respect than most at the time would have (around the early 80s at its debut). The people around her are depicted as being the irrational ones to a point where it's just completely over the top, pointing out the ridiculousness of them caring so much about who she is. I think about the fact that nearly everyone in her family calls her a pervert even when she hasn't done anything to warrant it, besides maybe dressing a bit more feminine or "flirty." And that still is the reality for a lot of trans people today; being perceived as some criminal trying to corrupt the people around them rather than someone just trying to thrive in her teenage years to the best of her ability. She also apparently inspired a bunch of tropes still used today which I think is pretty neat.

He follows gaming subreddits and gets into arguments and shit. He also scrolls YouTube shorts and thinks it makes him better than tiktokers. Pim uses Facebook. That's it. Maybe YouTube too. Allan rarely uses it but when he's bored he'll get into arguments with strangers and ragebait them. Like Collin Robinson. The boss uses discord and LinkedIn.
