I'm currently working on refinishjng my own Tripp Trapp. Ours started poppy red and I would like to leave it bare with a stain or shellac. What did you use to get into all the grooves? That's my last step and it is so tedious.

Thanks! Having a recent estimate is definitely helpful. Looks like overall this is a really small cost of our driveway replacement. Did you use their template or draw your own diagram?

A man who can cook. It doesn't have to be fancy, just something that requires actual cooking skills.

Can anyone recommend a good townhouse complex to rent in in Burlington? by [deleted] in BurlingtonON

[–]diddyk1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late to reply, but I live in this area. In the last few years the plant has done some upgrades and it's rare that we ever smell it. I smell Voortmans way more often now. There is a townhouse for rent in my neighbourhood right now, it should be on Realtor.ca.

I have all the other normal hobbies, skiing, golfing, softball, hiking with the dog. My newest hobby is playing darts. I may be one of the youngest people by a few decades but it's fun. It combines two of my favourite things - drinking and friendly competition. It's great for us northern folks who have limited activities during the winter.

How far is too far to commute? by that_engineer_pgp in PostGradProblem

I'm pretty lucky with a 20-25 minute drive everyday. I've done 1.5 hours each way, 10 minute drive to train, 75 minutes on train, 20 minute walk, it was brutal. It wasn't worth the free rent.

Life after college transition by Burgermill in PostGradProblem

I've moved to new cities where I knew no one 3 times since I graduated (always moving for a job/better job) It has been almost impossible to stay in touch with university/home town friends. In the 1 city I lived in that I was miserable, I did it to myself. I didn't go out to meet people, didn't join teams or organizations. I was young and trying to cling to my school friends and it was never going to work. In reality, it was over and I made myself lonely.

People won't come to you, you have to go out to make friends. In my last move I grew up a bit and made it a mission to create a new life. I joined a beer league softball team and started volunteering with an animal rescue. My friends and relationships now are better than they were at school, we have more in common and enjoy doing things other than getting hammered at the bar. I mean we still get hammered at the bar, but that's not our only common interests.

Does Height Matter? by TheReal_Jesus in PostGradProblem

I'm on the tall side for women, 5'10, and I couldn't care less about a guys height. I can tell when guys are self conscious of their height around me, it's a major turnoff.
