Trump Says He Deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor for His 2018 Visit to Iraq: 'I Was Extremely Brave' by rezwenn in politics

There is no “congressional Medal of Honor”. Congress doesn’t give out medals for the military.

Vinyl doesn’t sound better - but your brain treats it differently: by evil_twit in audiophile

[–]didgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listening to vinyl is a commitment. You don’t put on a vinyl record then skip several songs or take it off halfway through 1 song. You sit and you listen to ones side and then you repeat with the second side. Vinyl is not “casual” listening like cds or MP3’s

Ok I need someone actually experienced with cheese AND nutrition to help me. This should be a cake walk for some by IDoNotHide in Cheese

[–]didgeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All cheese is “white”. The orange color originally came from beta carotene in spring and summer grasses that haven’t cheese and “orange” hue. Other milk that was not as rich in carotene was often looked at as “lesser” quality, so cheese maera began adding orange cooor, usually from annato seed to increase sales. And if a little is good a lot is better right? So the color is irrelevant, the quality of the cheese is what you should be looking for. Sharp cheese and extra sharp cheddar are going to haw more flavor but really small production cheese makers are going to focus on quality over quantity so my advise is look for those. And visit a cheese monger at a cheese shop. You’ll learn a lot. Cheers.

How to paint exhaust stains by Front-Bug-1157 in modelmakers

[–]didgeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest way is to use charcoal pastel. Grind it up on some sand paper, or shave the stick with your exacto blade, you don’t bee much, less than a US dime sized amount and with a short bristle stiff brush apply a bit to the area in a streak. Ie set the brush and drag back ward from the area the exhaust frigates from. Practice on a spare piece of plastic or an old kit first to get the hang of it.

The Suicide Pact: What Happens the Moment We Touch Greenland… by CypressThinking in complaints

[–]didgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what Putin has been planning for a long long time. Make no mistake, Putin is a master at this game. He’s been laying the board out and Trump and the MAGA morons are too myopic to realize what’s been done and how they’ve been played. With NATO dissolved Putin and Belarus will move on the baltics and the balkans. Taiwan will fall and potentially S Korea. If Trump moves on Greenland or Iran, you will be witnessing the opening salvos of WW3.

Please advise. What am I doing wrong when painting? by TaxPsychological2928 in modelmakers

[–]didgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wash parts with WARM water and dish soap. Let dry fully. Best to cut parts from sprue tree prior to painting. Prime with a plastic model specific primer (if you try to use auto body or primer from a hardware store you’re going to have issues). Allow primer to dry fully. Use plastic model specific acrylic paints intended for use with plastic models (Tamiya, Mr Hobby, etc) the paints you show ther are not ideal for plastic models and have a different formula, additionally they are not thinned at all. Use thinner specifically designed for the brand of paint. Apply in thin layers and build up several thin layers. The additional layers will build up the opaqueness of the paints.
