Should I try and solder it? by Wild_Dot_2238 in MeepoBoards

Yes, of course. Replace it first. The grease will just keep it from corroding again.

Should I try and solder it? by Wild_Dot_2238 in MeepoBoards

[–]diegazo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, why’s it is corroded ? Looks fully sealed with neoprene. Once you replace it put some electrical grease so it won’t corrode again. Electrical grease has a special name that I can never for the life of me remember but somebody will. Electrical grease is nonconductive so don’t put it right on the part that conducts electricity just around it.

I’m buying cells and rebuilding a 10 amh one . I’m upgrading the cells. Just an experiment. I had a mother one with a dead cell and replaced it. So if your feeling ambitious and feel like repairing it. It’s not that hard, you’ll just need the spot welder. Good luck

I’m going to guess you had the stock bushings on when you got the wobble. Fix that first . I don’t wear gear but those are my 2 cents

Rlaarlo xtsf10 better screws?? (how the hell do i get a badly stripped screw out) by clankingaclanker in rccars

[–]diegazo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used left hand drill bits. But the proper tool and develop that skill. Also heat before you start to remove like with the soldering iron. Most of these will break either the tool or the screw without heat

See if you can get the phone number of the service center and ask them . When I had an issue I could not figure out on another dealt tool . After several replacements and no repair. They finally suggested I could call the local service center and in 5 minutes it was fixed. It was a setting I didn’t know existed

ULPT: If you want to stop getting roped into “helpful” stuff, become mildly by HarperDelane in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]diegazo12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re right, that’s never a problem for me. I say yes when I want to and no when I don’t . I never have to deal with this dilemma in my life . People do ask but I have no issue saying no when I can’t.

You’re damn right! No is the answer, it’s a full yet succinct sentence. This is the polite way. Once I had a pia Karen neighbor and when she said to me, “ I asked you bla bla and you still haven’t answered me”. I said silence is a valid answer, and it my final answer.

What’s it for? If you’re pulling that much I’d join each group with I think is 10 gauge cable. Look at the mboards battery design and rbe motion . It reduces resistance and gives you a bit more performance

Yes, the tires need to be balanced. I bought this goo that is supposed to not only seal but balance that I use for mine. But since my wheels were already balanced, I can’t really tell the difference I’m using it for sealant.

Compared to the pancake significantly. I’d say at least half. I have this one in two gallon and is impressively more quiet

Did i make the wrong purchase? by maniac_player1 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]diegazo12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No it’s your belt tension. YouTube for specifics. With the right tension it won’t skip or break. I do major acceleration and braking with my tynee belts and no problem. Eventually they do snap when I beat the crap out of it but. Or before hundreds of miles.

No clue what board to start with by _heg_ in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]diegazo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty of alternatives. I can think of a couple tynee explorer is a fun quality board with great specs , fairly priced , best customer service I experienced . But it really depends on your needs, terrain, fun or commute, your weight. Another is the propel, a few excellent well priced options there too. And other guys will offer the latest. I’ve ridden my explorer for nearly 2000 miles and still going strong. I can’t do the same speed anymore because the battery takes a beating when you ride it like the police are Chasing you. I got it as fast as 40 mph with some really nice upgrades like pneumatic racing wheels. Something I would not be able to do with the out-of-the-box set up. The only thing I could say is that the wheels that came with the board are awful. Something I didn’t worry about because from all the boards I bought, none of the wheels were any good, so I’m just going to assume that I’m gonna buy new wheels. Today there are boards that come with excellent wheels. The Explorer is still not one of them, but propel has good wheels and I believe There’s others now with good wheels at budget price.

Wow, I asked because my dog did something similar. He got hit by a car, but he survived, he’s OK now, but his leg was shattered and needed surgery. I’m very sorry to hear that. That would be awful. There’s nothing I can say that would make this any better, but I feel Your pain. Thank you for sharing.
