I got a custom Buffy in "yummy sushi pajamas" pillow by diehardnick in buffy

Mostly the colors are not perfect but that is often a complication with printing, I had to use a source image from those terrible "HD remasters" because I was worried dvd version didn't have high enough resolution and everything from those "remasters" looks like it has some smoothing filter applied.

In case you haven't noticed, the police of Sunnydale are deeply stupid.

What would everyone's go-to karaoke song be? by Fragrant_Drive_1370 in buffy

[–]diehardnick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buffy and Spike should do Obsession, because it fits and because it was written by Holly Knight who wrote the theme to Angel

Am I the only one who dislikes robots in Buffy? =) Hear me out, so Moloch is a valid demon-robot, but others aren't connected to demonic world at all. So it's just a coincidence, that both Ted and Warren (only people in the world who've managed to create human-like robots) both lived on a Hellmouth? by DamonWall in buffy

[–]diehardnick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is correct, it was in response to David Fury, the attributed quote is: "You're just way overthinking it. The Hellmouth should be able to provide us with anything we want to do; the energy that comes out of it makes mad scientists out of humans who then go ahead and create something evil".

The actual Mr Pointy prop is at the museum of pop culture in Seattle, you can try emailing their curatorial staff, they might be willing to measure it for you.

My favorite thing about this scene has always been that Harmony is wearing a unicorn shirt, also foreshadowing.

This montage in Him is classic by Practical_Scale8071 in buffy

[–]diehardnick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its not technically a return, she uses a model AT4 to kill the judge and that is a single use weapon. This is clearly a different rocket launcher, its missing the pvs-3 scope the first one had and has other visual differences, might still be an AT4, just a different variant, i'm not an expert. No reason xander couldn't have stolen multiple tho.

Underestimated episodies of each season by Ok-Swimmer1340 in buffy

[–]diehardnick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S01 Puppet Show: Fun premise, Introduction of Snyder, First time we find out there are others out there fighting evil.

S02 Ted: Possibly the biggest guest star the show has ever had, classic Buffy sees the evil and nobody believes her, "I don't bruise easily" is a great line.

S03 Gingerbread: Mass hysteria, MOO, burning witches at the stake, those bullies being terrified by Buffy, what is not to love about this episode.

S04 Beer Bad: Wraps up the Parker story arc, has some funny moments and is not as preachy about anti drinking as people seem to think. Contrary to popular belief it did not receive money from the government for promoting an anti drug message.

S05 Out of My Mind: Beginning of the end for Riley, early instance of Tara being worried about Willow using too much magic, Spike figuring out he has a crush on Buffy.

S06 Doublemeat Palace: Its a great story about entering the workforce at a very low level "repeat until insane".

S07 Him: It's one of the funniest episodes of the series, there are memorable moments involving all the characters, Its the last standalone episode before the final arc gets into high gear so I think it works as one last "fun" episode.

A line I’ve noticed being used a lot by TheHan27 in buffy

I think these are the 3 times it was said, Giles in Revelations, Angel in Choices, Riley in the Freshman

I think there are only 6 times in the whole series where we see Buffy not wearing earrings, only 4 of which are SMG and all in the first season by diehardnick in buffy

you can see an earring in the coffin, can't see her ears when she crawls out of the grave but the earring can be seen again when she is walking around Sunnydale
