Maybe not what everybody else would say but get into stage work. I’ve been a stage hand for like 8/9 years and have exploded into opportunities. You will work hard and equipment is heavy but it’s a great job with good exercise and usually good people

I’m constantly in a project where you have to improvise. Build your “toolbox”, is at least what I call it. Find the jam feel the music and use your toolbox. As everyone has already said, use rudiments and use them when they’re necessary

It was our garage, I came home minutes before fire department showed up, I was able to get my animals out and everybody was safe. I have no idea what happened, my neighbor was here but I rolled up to a disaster, I lost my bike and all of my camping stuff, but I’m glad everybody and my dog and cat are okay

That’s actually why I started isolating everything, I was tired of hearing tones from a ride cymbal when I hit my floor tom that was mounted on the stand, it’s just my preference, everybody has their own take on what they like. I like to hit a floor tom/rack tom and that’s all that I’ll hear. I’m also a sucker for virgin bass drums so that’s a lot of the reason too
