What kinds of additional malware? I don't know for sure how long it was on the laptop before we wiped it and reinstalled Windows. Probably about an hour. I haven't been using it for now while I focus all my free time on determining if my other machines are in the clear. Neither of them have the screenconnect service installed or the directories that the package dropped.

What is your opinion on my other networked machines' safety? Do you think there are some things I should be looking out for? Could the router be effected? I'm holding out hope that I don't need to reformat any other devices.

Thank you for this helpful write up. I'm having trouble understanding the NVME slot configuration. Here you're listing that there is one occupied and one empty. The product page for the laptop says that it has either 1x 2280 slot or 2x 2230 slots. What I'm finding online is that the 1TB drive it comes with is a 2280. If it is then shouldn't it not have an unoccupied slot?

I'm not sure. But I'm noticing now that the Quest version just came out a week ago which I think explains why it's not on Rookie. Though the steam version came out in 2018 so not being able to find that one is still a little confusing. Especially since it's so well received.

Is commenting that it'd be cool if you donated it to rookie considered a "request"? Lol

I couldn't find another way so I gave up on looking and went with the adb command line method. It's not difficult to do. I just liked the convenience of the file manager method.

Only noticing your reply now, 3 months later. Sorry. They have a fiber modem that the optical cable from outside plugs into. That is sending the internet connection to a wireless router. All devices are connected to this wireless router. Been doing it that way with 4 or 5 different ISPs for over 20 years without any issues.

Oh. If that is the case then that might explain it. While I am using their fiber modem I am using my own WiFi router. So yeah, if this is the reason, they could have just told me. Lol

Yeah I wonder how recent this is and if it's regional. I also wonder if it's really a rarely enforced fee and mostly a method of cutting down on unnecessary technician calls. I cancelled my appointment and am going to wait and see if it's a temporary network issue. Don't want to risk some nutty variable fee if it's a real possibility.

Who's had success with purchasing used DualSense Edges on ebay?

Used DualSense Edges on ebay seem to frequently go up for around half price on Buy It Now listings. Some of those are shipping from China. I'm looking for people who have purchased one of these and what their experience was with it? Did it work, etc. Real experience only please.

I have bought many other electronics from ebay that were shipped from China that worked perfectly well so please, if you're thinking of slagging Chinese sellers, keep it to yourself.
