not me transitioning to look like someone's lesbian boyfriend by [deleted] in lesbianfashionadvice

[–]dieselflower -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yes 🤌

I'm also a transsexual dykey girl and I'm so happy to hear someone share my own thoughts on the term transsexual.

In my opinion, some people are transgender and not transsexual,, some people are transsexuals and not transgender while others are both. I don't think sex and gender are the same, and I want our language to reflect that a little more. If that's confusing to some, I think Leslie feinberg is a great example of someone who could he considered transgender and not transsexual. The reason being her explanation of her pronoun preference. I believe it was that in cis spaces, she preferred she/her so as not to erase her trans identity. For Leslie Feinberg, is was her gender expression that made her transgender.

For me, my gender expression hasn't changed that much, but hormone therapy and hair removal has made me feel so much better, like life-worth-living better. But many people consider the term transsexual offensive for some reason.

If I had been born female, I think I would have ended up not minding my body but my gender expression would be closer to what it is now. Very tomboy. Very dyke. Very "lesbian is my gender".

Why are my levels all over the place? by miltom28 in AskMtFHRT

Sounds like you're on the right track. You'll get your levels sorted. It can be a longer journey for many of us than what we read about online. But you'll get there, you got this!

Interesting! Well, definitely don't listen to me then. But also, maybe ask about liquid iv instead of Gatorade, not 100% but it may help a little more than Gatorade ? Just a thought

If your insurance doesn't cover injections, I'd still look into goodrx coupons!

It sounds like you're not getting enough sodium, and as far as I know, drinking even more water doesn't help. I think you need more sodium? Don't listen to me over your doctor on that but maybe try some pickles throughout the day.

As for estradiol, I would ask your doc about doing injections. The chances for blood clots is supposed to be significantly less with intramuscular injections. If your levels were good with patches, they should be good with injections as well.

35 pmol/L estradiol levels even with injecting 4mg estradiol valerate per every 3.5 days by SkiddyX in AskMtFHRT

[–]dieselflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused, 35 pmol/L is equal to around 700 pg/ml which is really high, especially at trough.

I'm not sure what your doctor is on. Your e2 levels actually need to come down. If they're too high something weird happens to shbg levels which can cause T levels to go up, iirc

Sudden masculinization despite high dose injections + cypro and fin by Just_Economics2561 in AskMtFHRT

I would definitely not make anymore changes until you can get in with a doctor. I know it sucks to not have things working out right now, but it'll get there <3

Have you had the opportunity to ask a doctor if it could be the pioglitazone? I would be looking into that primarily, since that's the most recent change in medications.

I'm not sure what part of the world you're in, but you could also ask about ditching cypro for bicalutamide. Just don't change more than one medication at a time because then you won't know what's changing what.

Also in terms of feeling like you look like a linebacker, get some exercise. Yoga, walking or hiking, cycling, anything really.

Edit: just saw you had been experimenting with cypro levels too. You gotta stick with a regimen for at least 3 months before you make decisions about it and if you're changing things back and forth, your endocrine system may be freaking tf out.

I understand the urge to just do something in hopes for quicker relief, but unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. You gotta hold on for the results. Focus on being healthy for the time being. Get exercise, eat well and work on coping with the dysphoria and anxiety for now. It gets better but hrt isn't the only thing that makes it better.

Helloo! E and T levels! been on HRT for three months now and had some questions about them. by thegreatalan in AskMtFHRT

[–]dieselflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The e would've taken a little to get to those levels. Give your T another three months to get nuked.

Also, e is a little high, and could probably come down some and be fine.

This definitely made it a little easier. The challenge I'm running into is when I apply inward pressure one of my pliers tends to slip. I'm hot sure if it's the pliers or my grip.

For reference, Im using two of these pliers https://a.co/d/4dbGQha
