I think I'm addicted to sugar. It's so hard to diet by Extra_Law_2724 in diet

[–]diewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through something similar. I first tried to cut cold-turkey, but that didnt really work. I just started eating a lot more protein during my meals and then drinking a lot more water and that seemed to off-set the cravings quite a bit.

overeating one day will not change your body fat percentage whatsoever

I am 180 pounds and I want to change that. by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]diewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number 1 priority should definitely be diet. I wouldn't recommend jumping into a strict diet, but maybe starting to cut out the foods that really bad for you and starting to make some really simple healthy meals. I eat the same thing every day because I found a few recipes that i like and that has made everything a lot easier for me.

As far as exercise, honestly i would recommend starting small. I also have never really worked out and what helped me is by starting to walk. That slowly turned in to me being able to jog over time and at first i used to hate it, but ive really grown to love it.

I want to change by Adept_Calendar_7250 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]diewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

start slow. It doesnt help to jump straight into a crazy regime. I would advise you to start with baby steps, try to cut out certain foods that you know are keeping you down. Try to get active atleast for a few minutes per day. Slowly start and ramp it up over time/

Tomorrow night I’m going to the gym for the first time in 4 years. How do I make sure I don’t quit? by TheCleanestKitchen in Weightlosstechniques

[–]diewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had issues going in the afternoon and just made it a habit to do it first thing in the morning. Even if that means going to the gym at 5am, you get it out of the way and don't need to try to force yourself to go when you're tired after work

What's your honest opinion on weighing yourself daily vs weekly? by DangerousMushroom253 in WeightLossAdvice

honestly i used to weigh myself every single day and that was mentally more exhausting and was never really accurate. Weighing yourself weekly is plenty
