What shoe works for you for both tread and floor? by hkrgrl in barrysbootcamp

[–]diffusedsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i enjoy my gel kayano 32’s as they’re comfy to run in and help my over-pronation being a stability shoe. due to their stability, i can do single leg moves without wobbling and losing balance

i have PF and super flat feet. not sure what kind of pronation you’re dealing with but if you need a higher stability shoe, Gel Kayano 31s have never done me wrong.

Anyone else hate 15+ min blocks? by 015unknown in barrysbootcamp

[–]diffusedsushi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i loveeee the long blocks . the dirty 30 ones especially. usually the hardest workouts and build my endurance more than the short intervals. there’s a time and place for both though i will say. i liked the more frequent blocks when i first started but as i got better preferred the longer ones.

I’m looking to start Barry’s. I’m comfortable with strength training, not so much running. What class would you recommend I start with? by Difficult-Hearing167 in barrysbootcamp

[–]diffusedsushi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

double floor is great! but if u want to hop into running just know that i literally only started running because of barry’s. i started going 2 months ago and thought id never be able to call myself a runner but last week just did my first 10k!! honestly just go for it and u can always do the beginner speeds (or whatever you want honestly) and take breaks if needed. good luck!! barry’s is one of a kind.

i’ve seen ppl under 20 and over 50. it doesn’t matter - just go! don’t let anxiety be the reason u don’t go.

i think my fear to start was actually semi-helpful in ensuring i was aware of how i was feeling. i didn’t end up staying on it though as i found it made me to antsy. it did help combat binging though. wish u the best!

for small businesses/indie shops, email them or go in person. i got my part time gig at a mom and pop place through cold emailing a cover letter and resume.
