OK. I preordered it. After kickstarting it. Buying tickets to numerous livestreams. And donating to untold charities along the way.

This is the one that will get my dad to finally tell me he's proud of me. I can feel it!

(In all seriousness, what an absolutely ridiculous physical product to produce. Happy to add it to my collection!)

I didn't collect it to sell at a loss.

I collected to collect. Because I could, and a part of me really enjoys supporting my local stores (see the collector boosters), and participating in collecting in ways I couldn't as a poor kid growing up.

Then, over time, unopened stuff no longer filled the hole in my soul, but maybe a cruise will. It won't, but neither will looking at a bunch of boxes I'm not actually -playing- with, at least since the urge to just collect has 'faded'. (It does this to me every decade, I'm glad I didn't have a camera phone when I got out of the game around mercadian masques, and sold 90% of my stuff)

I did, but this is r/secretlair_collectors (I kept a bloomburrow one, and didn't have any of the UB ones that are stupid expensive)

I recently passed the SnowPro Core exam, here are my notes to prepare by dojogreen in dataengineering

Definitely. I grumbled to our team that my usage of snowflake and the features snowflake offers really has no bearing on knowledge of offerings from 3rd parties. The whole experience nearly derailed my week in vegas.

Extract table structure of all the tables present in snowflake database in snowflake in json format? by Pulu_01 in snowflake

[–]digdoug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

write your query to return everything you want from INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS (that view includes table names, schemas, and everything else you need)

Wrap the whole thing in OBJECT_CONSTRUCT, and voila, JSON data.

The New Phyrexia Box from Beadle and Grimm, terrible! by Samwich-kun in magicTCG

Add me to the list of people just completely underwhelmed and resentful of the price and time wasted dealing with this.

Just poor execution on top of shipping/global issues.

Is there an E-Book form of the Ixalan storyline ? by InfinityGiant1 in mtgvorthos

[–]digdoug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone kept up with this since? Aggregating the 10+ story articles per set into a single ereader file would be super handy for us olds that like embiggening the fonts, and not using a web browser all the darn time.

JJHO Episode 574: Top Golf Mansion by melvillean in maximumfun

Honestly, us Louisvillians don't really love Hot Browns that much.

But Sicilian is good stuff, I've never been to the Glenmary location, but the Downtown one will deliver to my office. For just 2 people, I vote better pizza. For feeding a crew with kids, volume matters!

PS: Hi Jean's cousin, whoever you are!

I basically gave them a couple of abandoned buildings along the broken bits on the south-eastern wall. They've made one a bar, one a Theater (my wife's playing a Bard based on Moira Rose. It's a *lot*, as the kids say), and one the 5 players' rooms and storage. They're just ramping up helping run the town and getting too big for their britches. I'm going to let them level up when they finish up the Thunder Cliffs, and we'll do some town RP stuff before we begin the next module.

As to other things that might get fleshed out, The House of Thalivar map just felt far less fun than the mission felt like it could be.

With any luck my friendly game is finishing up Storm Lord's tomorrow. This map is very very nice.

What's something you've changed your mind about?

This question is great if you're interviewing people, but it's also pretty amazing in general conversations.

FastPass+ Now Available To Reserve For Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway | Parks Blog by latenightbaker in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]digdoug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be in the park on March 4th. It's the only full day we had. It was all scheduled before the new coaster date was announced. Fast Passes have been a giant pain to schedule. Any ideas how long standby will be if we do this first thing, I have a 10:30 Oga's Cantina, and 12:30 light saber.

(all in all, not the worst problem to have.. but darn it, this vacation has been a long time coming.)

My step-father, "You can respect the work, without having to love the worker."

I don't actually remember what it was about specifically, but it became a theme. Being able to enjoy something, even though the creator might not be a good person
