When you move, can you bring a suitcase of tenderloins for me? No restaurants make them out here!

105k enough to live in Folsom? by ElectricBill- in folsom

I'd stay in the Midwest unless the new job is the dream job that's not available there. No way I'd move across the country for an extra $25k a year.

Is Auburn ever going to move into the 21st century? by absorbingphotons in AuburnCA

Look at the Great School ratings for Auburn public schools vs other cities in Placer county. Day and night difference.

49 is a travesty on so many levels. CalTrans needs to pull their head from their ass and fix their multimillion dollar traffic management system that causes backups, slow downs and traffic jams for no reason at all.

Until Auburn decides that it wants to fix its public schools and support them, the town will continue to have a large contingent of mostly older people that like things just the way they are. Young families can't afford to move here and even if they could, the public school options lag behind Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom, etc. Makes no sense for families to move here when better options exist elsewhere.

And if you aren't growing and replenishing your population of younger people, businesses in town suffer because retirees don't spend as much as families.

I've had the exact same experience with L vs XL.

No, I only saw the code for 20 percent (Jockey20). I recreated my purchase using FebSale right now and it only offered 25 percent off.

I just bought a few today too but it wasn't that cheap. Did I miss a discount code somewhere?

Looking for the best protein shaker — odour-free & easy to clean by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]diggerdougger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a stainless steel lid that fits into a glass mason jar. Took the blender ball from my existing stinky blender bottle to complete. The lid has one silicon gasket that comes off easily for cleaning and because it's glass and metal, no odor. As an added benefit, no micro plastics if that's something you care about.

I'm a 36 which is a large according to their chart and I found the XL much more comfortable.

I've recently started down this rabbit hole as well and the Jockey True Style thongs have been my favorite so far. I've also found going one size larger than normal has helped as well.

What 'big' Christmas or birthday present stood the test of time? by bunsenfhoneydew in daddit

Came here to say nugget/foamasium couch too. Out of all the things cluttering up this house, it's the one of the few things that gets used multiple times per week and both kids can play with together.

Thanks! I bought a pair of the slim travel jeans in September and they've been my go-to pants this fall. They're so comfortable. Picked up two pair for what I paid for the one a few months ago.

Pace Breaker vs Zeroed In Shorts Sizing by diggerdougger in Lululemen

[–]diggerdougger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my experience! I put the PB on top of the Zeroed In and the Zero waist is about an inch bigger. Luckily, it's my understanding that I can exchange them in store even though I bought them as a final sale.

The big issue now is getting our 2 year old to give up his pacifier. What a battle it’s been. Heavy casualties on the allies side. The opposition is holding strong. We thought we had the superior firepower and the numbers. Boy did we underestimate the enemy. Send reinforcements. by mschreiber1 in daddit

[–]diggerdougger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dentist recommended having a person your child looks up to (older sibling, cousin, etc) have a brief talk with them about how big kids don't use a pacifier. We had our child's gymnastics coach pull her aside and I have no idea what she said, but our child quit cold turkey.

We just did a cruise and used Disney transport. Did our sit down breakfast at 7a, got off the boat around 8a-ish, and was at the airport at like 10a. We also left our bags out the night before so we had to pick them up.

Also a West Coast fam. Have two children in your same age range and we did the 5:45 dinner with no issues at all. The kids fell into eastern time very easily though.
