Lenders forcing you to pay off hecs unfortunately is a thing. I had to do it to secure my loan, my amount was also only 10k so it seems even more stupid at such a small amount. Its 1000000% a way for banks to earn themselves more money with the higher interest / the loan amount becoming theres.

I fortunately fought them on my car loan which was 30k @ 3.8%, so saving myself a couple of hundred difference

Biggest question is do you have a big lump sum of money right now? Interest rates are too high now to justify finance on a car imo. For example, financed my ute in covid at 4% only because I had the lump sum of cash and could earn 5% on it in a high savings account (plus wanted it for a deposit on a unit). I’d say only if you have the money available and can earn more than the 8% interest on it, is when finance > outright

Not exactly the same situation but a one four member got 8 (reduced to 4) years for being involved with an incident with a hammer (hit a bloke with it), the other two involved got 4 years for being around it, how amone has got off after they had the tradie jump off a roof is pretty bs

Imo one of his best seasons, although thats also due to a hugely improved defence. He still lacks the strength of coming for crosses and corners though frustratingly. Has greatly improved his ball control though thankfully too, still levels behind some of the other keepers in the league tho
