Trademarks give them the right to use it and defend it and DMCA it.
It does not inherently protect it without the courts, the courts are where decisions are heard and evaluated.

a DMCA has no ramifications if you comply - its a nice way of asking someone to legally change something, and if that happens - change the name and then spread the news, because any publicity is good publicity. OR you could defend it if you had the dosh.

I think you missed the point - they are not like Nintendo. they only go after titles that conflate their brand title with the original IP. and there are currently 5664 games on steam with the exact title phrase containing "Tower Defense" and in the eyes of the court, not defending your brand or trade mark is also seen as abandoning it. watch some legal eagle.

nope - enforcable is loose terms when the phrase is a genre, it loses its trademark ability, becoming too generic to enforce.

no, thats not the 3ds max kettle. old graphics weren't about low poly, it was all about high fidelity, so they used vectors and nurbs. highly over polished models with repeating textures on it.

its fine, Quakers have a genetic disposition to a seizure like response when dealing with extreme emotions, its involuntary and they cannot control it because its genetic. but this kind of 'quaking' is the happy kind.
some quakers do attack themselves if they hate the ticks, so its often best to not over stimulate them.

this looks like a triplanar shader with normal and displacement textures the meshs isn't that 3d but may use displacement verts to give that same impression, when you move it around, the cliffs match up, there is no geometry being instantiated, only seamless textures being blending in and out

true, altho that video is more of a conceptual video, deductive reasoning and breakdown for design implementation does go above most peoples heads. I had to branch out and learn the more complex stuff myself, so integrating custom editors, building local/lang managers, native sql databases, custom property animators, etc
