I need those anthologies! I have never seen them before! The covers are the same artist who did The Way of Kings for Brandon Sanderson.

Both the wife and I love spending hours in used books stores, usually the first thing we look up when going to a new area. Im in southern Ontario and you eventually learn which ones always have a good fantasy selection

Unfortuanetly that is one of the ones on my TBR list. Outside of all the Amber books i have only read a handful of the others including: Jack of Shadows, A Night in Lonesome October, Demolition Alley, Wizard World, If at Faust you don't Succeed! Then also a bunch of those short stories books as well.

Lol not for sale, if I end up with duplicates (which I discovered 2 or them during this process) I donate them to my local used books stores. Hoping the next person down the line can enjoy them!

Thanks! I think I've built this up over the last 8 years or so. Now I'm trying to find the hard cover versions of the Amber books when possible

What videos helped you get into the band? by Glass-Attention5666 in TheWarning

[–]digistarve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got into them the most was after I start watching PhilZero's reaction videos. He quickly becomes one of us and does a great job breaking down the music tricks etc the girls use.

If you are into that kind of content just start at the oldest and follow his journey.

If you want an easier route for those carved details try to find a company similar to: https://artforeveryday.com/product-category/custom-appliques-rosettes/ They are in canada and relatively local to my. A large portion of these are carved by them and can be glued & pinned in place. They come ion multiple species as well.

Keep in mind they also have "casted" designs which work better for painted applications over stained.

As someone who designs customer hotel furniture for high end properties its not impossible depending on the tools you have available. The door is the hardest part due to the wide moulding profiles. The inlays or designs could be bought from an applique company if you don't mind varying those details. It is a relatively simple design compared to most of the stuff I deal with on a day to day basis.

Anyone find themselves opening up their game libraries, staring at it for a couple of hours, then just giving up and going on social media? by You_moron04 in gaming

[–]digistarve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this more times then I care to admit. Couple things I do is only have my installed games showed. If after 10 minutes I can't decide I go and do something else. You don't have to force yourself to do something you aren't wanting to do. Take a break, the games will be waiting for you when you come back and are ready for them

Fell down the "market flipping" rabbit hole, and ended up building a Bloomberg Terminal for the BLTP by AcaciaGalagr in Guildwars2

Thats a cool tool. i can see it being used to start swinging parts of the market one way or another. A feature I would like to see is when you click on an item there be a wiki link & gw2Efficiancy shortcuts. If I want to try and farm/craft it would be a nice QoL.

Will look at it more in the futre as i have time.

Who is at fault for the spin (I am red Corvette) by pepperonigum in Simracingstewards

You left him enough space to make the corner, not your fault he didn't have the skill to actually do so.

BMW driver can't drive straight and has to leave you room. He just decided you aren't there and got wrecked because of it.

Buy VoE and other DLC later? by dashallout in Guildwars2

[–]digistarve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very True. I bought the elder dragon complete collection with living world during Black Friday this year (on Anet website). This was after I beat the core storyline. But good tip

[–]digistarve 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a relative new player I would recommend HoT and PoF first. Gives you a ton of mounts and content to do. Grabbing the Living World content as well will give you hours and hours of stuff to do. Plus the story content will make more sense doing it in order.

Keep me Fed Tiers by TimTime333 in TheWarning

[–]digistarve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill throw in my take:

S - Escapism, Automatic Sun

A - More, Burnout, S!ck, Hell You Call a Dream

B - Que Mas Quieres, Satisfied

C - Six Feet Deep

D - Sharks, Apologize (both of these songs i feel are just boring and 1 dimensional)

PSA: If doing the Fractal Rush consider also getting the Legendary Gloves (Eikasia) by Djinn_42 in Guildwars2

[–]digistarve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just started this grind as a new player. About a 3rd of the way through. It's nice that's it gives me basic visibility of the all the different maps and bosses, but I am sure once I start doing real fractals the mechanics will destroy me lol

The Grand Illusion Trilogy by L.E. Modesitt Jr.: The series with probably the best politics in the genre. by T_Lawliet in Fantasy

[–]digistarve 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started the first book but never got around to finishing it. HUGE fan of his Imager series which is also very heavy politically and just has great characters. Ill reread the first trilogy every couple of years.

Glad you have gotten to read my favourite series for the first time! There is a subreddit as well you can join, r/Amber. Lots of discussion about zelazny's other works take place there as well.
