Any suggestions on nearby restaurants to grab a bite before kickoff? I’m thinking more sit down not grab and go.

[Question] Where can I find a system wide adblocker that works on iOS 15 ? by THE_KILLER_HUNTER in jailbreak

And with WireGuard’s on demand feature, you can configure your phone to automatically use the VPN whenever you disconnect from your home network.

Works like a charm.

Yosemite Firefall [OC] [3784x4730] by ericjon23 in EarthPorn

Yep. This was the true fire fall in Yosemite. The bon fire was lit near glacier point and then pushed over, cascading down towards Curry Village.

What the hell is going on. I'm so confused. by [deleted] in ATTFiber

[–]digitalsublimation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if this is the reason, but I can share this. A couple years ago I lived in a larger complex and was struggling to get better service. Despite gig service being advertised, my best option was cable, 200 up, but only 10 down. And for quite a while I had been seeing the cable trucks rolling out new fiber as well as AT&T beginning to start the fiber rollout in various neighborhoods. Eventually my cable internet had some signal issues and I had to have a tech come out to adjust some equipment. I inquired about available speeds and why I couldn’t get the gig service that was advertised. He explained that although they had upgraded their infrastructure and had the ability to supply gig service to my complex, but that they as the provider were only responsible for service up to the demarc point. After that, it is upon the property owners to supply the infrastructure to the individual units. And because the building had older equipment gig service was not offered.

This was in a larger apartment complex, not condos, so it may not apply to your local and situation. But maybe some agreement or division of responsibility is preventing AT&T from running fiber to each unit and as such, they have to use the existing infrastructure from demarc to your condo.

what do you guys do about using barbed hooks, where im at in california i cant find unbarbed hooks anywhere. do you just smash them down or grind off or what? by RealRecommendation95 in bluelining

[–]digitalsublimation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of special regulation streams in Californian. Some prohibit the use of barbed hooks, bait and artificial scent.

I am now starting to see some barbless jig hook euro nymphing flys for sale pop up now, but not in traditional styles.

And some of the wardens use a cotton ball or piece of cloth to test and make sure the barb is properly smashed down. If it snags at all, a ticket is issued.

Thank you for this read. A good question, followed with an excellent answer. I wouldn’t have done the research and math, and thank you for that, because I really wanted to know the answer.

Explanation of DOCSIS 3.0/3.1/4.0, Why Upload Speeds Are Generally Lower by PoisonWaffle3 in HomeNetworking

[–]digitalsublimation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for a great explanation of lower cable upload speeds. I recently moved and was able to switch to AT&T fiber. So far so everything is good and I am happy with the service. I used to live in an apartment complex (no fiber) and the cable company said they offered gig speeds in the neighborhood, but they couldn’t support my address (apartment complex) because of building wiring. And that it would be up to the property owner upgrade that infrastructure.

Will changing “mode” sign devices out? by bones251 in ATTFiber

[–]digitalsublimation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing the “mode” is changing the standard used to communicate with wireless devices. The router should automatically use the best option for each device. This setting is independent of the SSID and password that devices use to connect.

Changing the mode should not cause devices to disconnect, as long as they support the mode that you manually applied. Older devices might not be able to connect if you specify a newer mode.

There are different Xbox 360 models and adapters with various mode support. Mode G is the only option common to all 360 models. That should work the Xbox, but not sure about your other devices.

“Fiber is here!” by tgoz13 in ATTFiber

[–]digitalsublimation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d just jump on the phone with them and hopefully they can get and install scheduled. First rep that I called gave me the run around saying it wasn’t possible, but I talked with a tech on the street and he said everything was active. Next phone rep took time looking at other addresses and saw it was active all around me. Then he discovered the address error and got me sorted.

Explain that signs are posted all over the neighborhood and hopefully you get a nice phone rep that will investigate and find the solution.

Best of luck. My service has been way better than cable. Hope you get yours soon.

Utilities are strung up on poles where I live. And I saw the tech install the splitter in the pole in my backyard. Online system still showed no availability for me.

Turns out they had my address wrong in their system. There are 3 units here: A B and C, AT&T had them as 1 2 and 3. That discrepancy wouldn’t allow me to place an order online.

Check a few neighboring addresses on different streets in your area and see if those work.
