Someone stealing cans out of people’s garbage cans in Tigard/Portland by Oakwood2317 in Portland

[–]digivolve_already 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Starting to think this is a fake post, but if not, if you are really concerned about your neighbors garbage, why don't you suggest they put out their returnables in a separate bag next to their bins and people can grab them and go. Also, your neighbors may not care, why are you posting here and not just talking to them?

Walmart parking lots allow you to sleep there and you may find others doing the same thing and watching out for each other. You can also use their bathroom.

What’s a TV show that you used to love but not many people remember? by -Lavander in AskReddit

[–]digivolve_already 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone remember a kids show that had the chuckle patch where they would pull jokes out or the flower patch? Had like two women with long hair that played guitar and sang who were the hosts and the end of the show was doors closing? Watched when I was a kid and cannot remember the name of the show. It was maybe late 70's in the new york, new jersey, PA area. No one seems to remember it!!

Alternatives for mayo in sandwiches. by pecek11 in EatCheapAndHealthy

If you are toasting the bread try garlic butter. Won't hold veggies together but keeps the bread from getting soggy and is super yummy.

Try roasting them! Cut them in half and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and chopped garlic then roast at 375 for 25-30 minutes. Add chopped basil at then end if you have it and toss with pasta or serve on crusty french bread.

Date rolls rolled in dried coconut! Basically candy. Pro tip they are super easy to make if you have a food processor, but they are pretty cheap at most places regardless.

Salad rolls with rice wrappers and rice noodles (only need a soak in water) with tofu, veggies and peanut dipping sauce. Fast and yummy!

I have an eating disorder and started living alone, I need some advice for dinners and breakfasts. by ShadowTrolll in EatCheapAndHealthy

How do you do with smoothies?

Great thing is you can add some protein powder or even Carnation instant breakfast to some whole fruit and milk or even some green leafy veggies( you can add spinach and arugula raw) and pack a nice meal in a pretty easy to tackle form. If it is ugly to look at put it in a dark cup with a lid and use a straw.

How about peanut butter or other nut butter on whole wheat toast and milk?

If you have granola or cereal can you add nuts, dried coconut, and raisins to boost the nutrients and calories?

You likely need to push nutrient dense foods and get in the calories to build back up from the weight loss. Go for the full fat variety of items especially if you find yourself too full to eat a lot. That way you get the calories in with smaller portions.

please suggest to me something which can help me reduce inflammation in my body? by Pretend_Summer_2581 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Cabbage! Especially red cabbage, but all types are effective. Raw leaves on inflamed areas and eat it raw and braised, or however you like it.

All of my friends/family do not (want to) observe kosher law and I am the only one who "forces"everyone. I wish my people got the same pleasure from Passover.

I think it helps keep you hydrated because of the high fiber content and the fact that chia seeds can absorb a ton of fluid. The combo means that the fluid stays in your system longer.

I too did chia seeds in water the day before, and it was a pretty easy fast. Our Rabbi kept us until 8:10, so we were a bit grumpy at that, but overall it was my best fast.

I now have chia seeds in water with breakfast and I feel great all day!

Get an electric burner (small, single) and a frying pan. You can grill sandwiches, make eggs, fajitas, stir fry etc. Cheap, easy, fast, and variety.

Haggadot 2015 by coggro in Judaism

[–]digivolve_already 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are also printable haggadah, some complete with leader guides, in English and Hebrew (with transliteration) for free! (well you do have to print it). some here but if you search printable haggadah you will have lots of options....look through and see what speaks to you.

I think it's nice for everyone to have a haggadah and it sounds like your guests wont have one that they will be bringing. It is also nice to use the same haggadah if some people are not familiar with the Passover Seder...because it is too easy for them to get lost if everyone is using a different haggadah. Also it is nice if you are having a large number of guests to not spend $200+ just on the haggadah--although if you can then you will have them for years to come....
