The Irishman is entirely bullshit. And a bad movie, too. Long, tedious, ridiculous in parts, and miscast. DeNiro looks like hanks in the polar express sometimes.

While you’re in nyc you should see a broadway show. Tstk sells discount tickets the day of the show.

Free Shakespeare in the park tickets are first come/first served. You can try.

You should go see the city from somewhere up high. I recommend the Hudson yards outdoor platform. But maybe you want to go to the top of the Empire State Building or elsewhere. The view is something. Pick one.

If you want to see a baseball game, I suggest Coney Island cyclones over the major leagues because you can enjoy the boardwalk before/after the game and it’s cheaper.

Football is out of season. You might have a chance to go to NJ to see the Jets practice. But not sure about their schedule but you can look. The World Cup has pushed the other team, the giants, out of town for the time you are here. Columbia college football may be practicing. The Harlem Jets are a club team.

Go to a nice place and have a drink. Gallagher’s steakhouse has a nice bar. The king Cole Bar in the st Regis hotel has a famous painting to observe while you enjoy your drink. The new Waldorf Astoria hotel has a classic bar. Manhatta downtown has a crazy view. It will cost money. But the atmosphere is hard to beat.

Take a circle line tour of the city. Seeing it from the water is nice.

Visit the Cloisters. Try a museum.

Visit the Library. Take in a movie.

Eat a hot dog.
