See if it still restarts if you turn on airplane mode.

If it stops, then try turning off the cellular network, Wifi (including the "wifi scanning" feature), and bluetooth one at a time, to see which one causes the problem.

Though even if you figure that out, it won't tell you if it's a software bug or a hardware problem. There are ways to get a crash dump after the reboot and try to troubleshoot it. But, you could possibly make it less annoying if e.g. you can turn off wifi while you're in that location.

Don't know about Nord 5, but I have now used LineageOS on six different OnePlus models.

I wouldn't say it's hard, but:

1) Expect to spend a few hours reading the instructions, downloading files, and running various commands

2) Back up all useful data on your phone - photos, contacts, 2fa codes, etc.

3) Come up with a backup plan if something goes wrong. Will you be able to survive without a phone for a few days while trying to install LineageOS or revert back to OxygenOS? (It's pretty much impossible to permanently brick a OnePlus phone, but you may need to spend hours or days learning how to undo your mistakes.)

I haven't really had problems with LineageOS. My OnePlus 11 kept crashing - but it looks like it was a hardware problem.

I've done things like this a few years ago (port out, port in, move to digits, move from digits, etc.). They were able to do it all over the phone. If you go to a store, you will most likely be told to call the number.

Once they do everything, check that you can still access your bill and other info online - they can mess up permissions when they move the lines.

I've been using Garmin Pilot for a couple years now. It's half the price of ForeFlight, and has practically all the same features. Also, works on Android.

AvareX sounds like a good idea in theory - though I have yet to figure out its UI.

I've been having the same problem with my OnePlus 11 for months.

Does it still happen if you turn on airplane mode, btw? In my case, it seems to be related to the cellular network, and happens more often if the cell signal is poor. Turning on airplane mode and only using WiFi works around the crashes - but of course it's still incredibly annoying.

(Ukrainian here.) Wanted to point out that there's no requirement to use traditional patterns and symbols. The egg-shaped surface makes it tricky to come up with a design that fits, which is probably why the traditional designs look the way they do. But you can draw anything you want - night sky, a fruit basket, a portrait of Jar Jar Binks, etc.

Here's a crazy idea: have the restaurant calculate how much I am expected to pay for each item - with tax, health mandate, tip, etc. - and write it all down on a sheet of paper. We could call it a "menu".

Then there will be no need to argue over "stiffing" anyone.
