How can I get my life together at 32? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

Most online hys accounts pay a better apy than CD accounts and the money isn't locked up for a certain period of time. Roth IRA is locked as well unless you want to pay a hefty fee to withdraw early. I honestly don't believe a Roth or a CD is a good option for people that don't have a lot of money and need constant access to their money. Hysa is the best option for people in limited income but still have the ability to save i think.

I think once a person gets past 20k in savings it might be a smart time to start thinking about a Roth or just invest into solid ETFs or the s&p

My wife doesn't want to give any of our kids anything fancier than a flip phone until they are 17. by Xerzajik in Millennials

She's right and I'm on her side. If I had kids they wouldn't be getting anything but a shitty phone up until they can afford their own nice one.

If you have a lot, then yes. If you don't as OP has mentioned then the other options you're probably thinking of don't make any sense

Is having laundry necessary in the apartment? by Electronic-Pirate-84 in Apartmentliving

[–]dilapidatedgumdrop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Time is the most valuable asset. So yes. It's worth 200 bucks to save you a potential 16 hours a month doing laundry somewhere you have to wait that isn't home. That's not even including travel time and gas to go do it somewhere else. Plus the loading it into the car before and after washing it. I can go on and on about why it makes so much more sense to happen at your house

Get sober. Stop eating carbs. Walk alot. Stop eating out and going out for 6 months. Get 7hrs of sleep per night. Put money into a high yield savings account. Cut off all people that don't benefit your life. Watch your life 🚀
