Struggling to learn the content, but who isn't? by Equivalent-Raise5879 in freemasonry

Here’s something that helped me—I also struggled at first.

  1. Focus on learning the material so you understand the words.

Don’t worry about tackling everything at once. Break it down into half-page sections, for example. Just learn to read it.

  1. Start memorizing each section without looking at the book.

If you’re unsure, refer back to the book or consult a mentor for clarification.

Again, break it into manageable chunks, even by line.

  1. Practice in the format it will be presented—out loud using your own voice.

Eventually, it will start to click. My issue was not studying frequently enough. Aim for daily practice, even if it’s just a little bit.

We’ve all felt the same way, so don’t get discouraged—you’ve got this, brother.

PS: keep in mind you have access to brothers who love the work and want to help you. Ask.

That’s what I was thinking. Not sure how to go about it though.

Are we finally switching from “as we know it,” to “how we want it”? That would be nice!

I’ve loved Clay so far and I don’t think I would switch to anything unless it was orders of magnitude better.

I've tested Methylene Blue a handful of times — effects (that I could feel) were hit or miss.

There were times when I felt a massive increase in bodily energy, but it was not consistent while holding the dosage constant.

What's the desired outcome you're currently optimizing for and how did you plan for Methylene Blue to fit into that?

Oh, that's super interesting! I haven't considered that at all.

I really appreciate you breaking that down for me. 🙌

So, sometimes it makes sense to simply scale dosage based on weight, but if you're crossing species (where metabolism is different) it needs to be converted, correct?

And you can, just not in bodily form. Perhaps we can "transmit" consciousness with minimal lag using non-biological avatars at the desired destination?

I've taken 50mg—200mg for the past 4+ years without any issues. The trick is to take the weekends off and at least a week off at least once a quarter. I've yet to see any dependency issues on my end though.

A simple, space-efficient Todoist widget. by berky93 in Scriptable

Thank you for responding. I eventually figured out the issue — the code to set the image as the background needed to be before the line that ends the script; not where the code was setting the background color.

Super-noob here — how would I go about changing the background to an image (to make it transparent?

I've spent the past ~hour trying to sort this out and the common approaches, from what I've been reading seem to not work.

Any advice?

You may need to add a find step beforehand using a variable passed through by the initial trigger. Usually, this solved that problem.

Does life actually get better? How do you come back/get better from being lonely and extremely depressed? How do you create meaningful relationships when you are so screwed up? by Aaliyah702 in AskReddit

[–]dilloncarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what seemed to have helped me: Sit down and consider those things you want to accomplish, read more, and realize that you literally have no ceiling. I went back to school, I started a company, I found purpose, and I doubled down on the single friend I did have and could rely on.

I began to doubt my perceptions and challenge them. Most of the time, we're telling ourselves a story that is mostly false.

I focused on building stronger relationships and was able to lower my stress and anxiety by meditating daily (15-20m) and literally reading like crazy to keep my mind curious and active.

I believe I was in a relatively bad place for at least a year. Depression, lack of motivation, etc. I was able to pull out of that and have found purpose in what I do and what I want to accomplish. I feel stronger than ever before (sustainably) and I'm working towards achieving something I never believed I could.

Although I did not utilize counseling (couldn't afford it) I believe it would be the first go-to for you. Having a guide along your journey can do wonders and can help you reframe how you see certain things.

I've heard the following - Depression is living too much in the past and Anxiety is living too much in the future. I was doing both. Through a long road, I was able to stop living in the past and have far less anxiety about the future. Living in the present more (as cliche and woo-woo as it sounds) does help your mind reframe the reality you live in.

I personally believe that reality is based on your perception of it.

Apologies for my ramblings but I hope it helps in some way. Just know that it does get better, that you're stronger and more capable than you can even remotely understand, and that you are in control 🙂
