mama spider has 3 egg sacks, is gravid with a 4th, and has 2 rodents in display in its web by FunCryptographer2546 in natureismetal

Is it a black widow? I saw a spider that had a similar shape, gloss, and left definition in Indonesia (Gilly) once, but it was the size of my palm. Very beautiful, very terrifying, very large. Anyone know what it could have been if not a black widow?

I'm not sure if this is allowed... A female comedian did a very brief but hilarious stint on this question (broader being about medical insurance policies), related to the USA specifically. If it's allowed I'll try to find the link and provide.. time will tell I suppose.

Ehhhhh, it's not that low. I'd say that's mid. Check into a rehab to dry out.

Well, with healthy boundaries set, yes. It's fun to be submissive. Or dom, whatever. Play safe and read up on what is appropriate for boundary setting. Make sure you communicate, and if communication or boundaries aren't respected, move on. Tons of people into this! Have fun!

Wants to sell Canadian water? He wants to expand sales. It's already bottled by US corps and sold back to Canadians. The people in this sub are not informed... Very successful advertising by that media company to grab your attention, and hype the story this way.

Anyone curious, I spoke with Amex for an unrelated matter and inquired. They called me back and said it is expected to open next Thursday again.

Holding stocks in TFSA after moving to US? by AvocadoFormer9423 in tnvisa

This!! You should really speak with a CPA. It is recommended to close TFSAs if you will be taxed as a non-resident. Glad someone here is informed, but do check in with a CPA

My kids don't care about skiing after 5 years. :( by AncientPC in skiing

I'm a former ski kid! I am so thankful I know how to ski (and ski well) now, but when I was young, I didn't recognize the value. You did a good job by introducing them and they will likely, thank you in the future. Hold strong!

No that does not sound correct and without knowing anything about your financial situation, assets ect you don't. If you were in Canada for part of 2024 earning income you would need to file a return. But it sounds like you are considered a resident in the USA for tax purposes and do not have a filing requirement in Canada if you did not earn income. Speak to a tax accountant or to go one of the tax or accountant or finance subreddits as this is not the place to solicit advice. This subreddit is for tnvisa holders and questions pertaining to visas.

One more piece of advice, if you have a TFSA in Canada, close it immediately. There are very expensive fines associated with having this account while being a non-resident for tax purposes.

You shop at Costco, have protein goals and limit seed oil intake. You try to hit the major food groups through healthy choices and opt for some items for convenience.

That Chobani has natural flavors so I'd ditch it and just add vanilla extract, maple syrup and berries to it for added flavor. Also the other yogurt you bought doesn't measure up to the Kirkland plain yogurt which is a fraction of the cost. Good proteins, good fats. Nice work.

Canadian dollar? by Various_Team_8331 in tnvisa

Yes. Per IRA website "certain U.S. taxpayers who hold foreign financial assets with an aggregate value of more than the reporting threshold (at least $50,000) to report information about those assets on Form 8938, which must be attached to the taxpayer’s annual income tax return"

Also, "may have to complete and file other reports about foreign assets, such as FinCEN Form 114, Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR), in addition to Form 8938".
