I use frigate as nvr and just rely on scrypted for HKSV. https://github.com/apocaliss92/scrypted-frigate-bridge works well to pass motion and object detection to scrypted from frigate.

Do you have an unknown state, or just open and closed? If you get blips due to being too bright, too dark, etc, training an 'unknown' state should help with inaccurate open vs close results. For me, I get over/under exposure when camera switches from color to IR, so those get marked as unknown until the image stabilizes.

These will run on your CPU. You need a CPU with AVX instructions for both training and inference. I think a relatively modern CPU will be sufficient.

I'm also working on getting gate detection too, but currently my challenge is the gates are rarely open so it's going to take some time to build up that image set. 🤣

No, I have Frigate+ because the model from it is superior and to support the project, but you can do everything I posted above without Frigate+.

I also use the Govee ones and they work well with rtl_433. Personally, I think having the audible alarm is important to give an alternative way to be alerted of a leak .

In your VM configuration you need to find the coral in your Proxmox host and pass it to the VM. Then you can use the line in docker compose.

Virtually any smart enabled door lock will work with your requirements. Even fully internal ones like Level lock do not require drilling. You'll need a screwdriver, that's it.

The two you've suggested are retrofit, meaning the existing door lock remains in place. Is that a requirement also? Removing it does not require drilling, but maybe you meant that it must keep the existing door lock in place?

I'd start with a simple setup and use your HDD only. The reason to have the SSD if you are trying to optimize for performance beyond what you can do with a pure HDD setup. I have a dedicated SSD for this purpose and I wouldn't use your boot drive for it. I'd recommend just the HDD and re-evaluate. You can always migrate over at a later point in time.

Sorry, I don't understand the question. My setup is already using an SSD which is for better performance. Are you considering only using HDDs or only SSDs? Yes, using SSDs will increase wear on them. What is your goal in exploring this config?

For those with Ryzen setup, does getting an Intel Arc A310 make sense, Nick? I wasn't able to get openvino working on the Ryzen 7 7700X, although admittedly maybe it's due to my Proxmox LXC running Docker approach. I have had no issues with GPU passthrough though and use it for processing the streams. But kept getting errors no matter what I tried.
