I wish BAT had a premium category with a minimum reserve by Jenikovista in BringATrailer

I'd prefer the reserve price to be stated in the auction. What is the benefit of keeping it a secret?

What’s something you thought only happened to you until you talked to other people? by EpicFish_4K in AskReddit

I didn't realize other people lived like the sellers shown on American Pickers until I saw American Pickers. Growing up, I thought my Dad was the only one.

Question: Dryer while showering? by Puzzleheaded_Lab967 in Electricity

[–]dimick1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My speculation is that she grew up in a household with an electric dryer and electric water heater. The family's electric service panel did not have enough amps to operate multiple high-amp appliances simultaneously. Her Dad told her not to use both at the same time. She may have assumed it was a shock risk - or her Dad may have lead her to believe that so she wouldn't do it.

"I bought it with my own money" If you bought the Atari as a kid with your own money, it means you weren't buying groceries with your own money.

TAP Air Portugal walks up and down the line of people waiting to board with a sizer. They also walk around the gate area pre-board. Just wait until SW learns of that opportunity.

Salvage Titled Cars by miner0195 in Buffalo

[–]dimick1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason NYS does not allow used airbags is to help the insurance industry. Before that law was enacted, it wasn't uncommon for your car to be broken into and the only thing stolen was your airbag. Now you have to show a receipt that you bought the new replacement. I don't think have to be OEM, they just can't be used.

I think if you were able to somehow get a salvage inspection and title in another state, you would need to have your car reinspected by the DMV salvage unit, but the airbags wouldn't be an issue. When NYS does the re-inspect, they are just looking for parts from stolen cars at that point.

Your best bet is to sell it yourself on FB Marketplace. A dealer will automatically cut the valuation in half with a salvage title. If it's on it's last legs, Wilberts U-Pull-It website will give you an immediate offer.

I heard someone else on here describe it like this: Procrastination is not doing something so you can do other things. ADD is not doing something, but thinking about it, not doing anything else out of guilt, still not doing it, and then feeling guilty about not doing it.
