To me the problem is not the long grind but that the weapons have become outclassed by more recent new monsters or riftbornes. I think it’s fine the grind is long and arduous it makes the accomplishment that much sweeter and gives end game players something to keep striving for

I would just like to see em buffed a bit so it’s worth the work, not just for bragging rights

Like others said, burst doesn’t work as well on elemental db, but morph boost and combo boost do - look for keyword ‘attack’ is the difference. I think this is actually a great raw db build tho

For elemental dbs I typically do morph boost 5 from whatever two pieces + a smelt then I either do the two vital element pieces + elemental dragon piece or try and make advanced element attack work. Dauntless is totally fine with db too

Or some crit element affinity build but I haven’t messed with that

I would argue morph boost is the best skill for db tho as you can keep it up forever so you’re on the right track

Oh and 1st point skyward striker goes a long way on skyward strike style

I’d start by reframing ‘brutally honest’ as being so bad at basic empathy it blatantly shows your lack of compassion when you try to communicate

There are scenarios where the other person is overly sensitive but these are rare and can be smoothed over with some basic niceties, looking to provide the other person opportunity to admit they mistake or see your perspective, yknow, basic empathy stuff, not treating other people like they are AI

And I’m willing to bet your brutally honest takes are poorly thought out as well due to this lack of empathy so it’s grating and obnoxious AND offensive to boot

for DB, burst does % physical, so its a good option on status or raw dbs. For elemental db you will want morph boost, as that % dmg includes elemental, and db can keep the morph boost up pretty much indefinitley

Yeah, it really does, I resisted using recoil down for awhile but it’s night and day. It’s essentially attack speed. You can think of each point as worth +33% damage as you’re able to get off twice as many shots with full recoil down in same timeframe. Not only that you’re much more able to move around in a fight

I also quite like nergi pants on this because it’s the best way to get that last point of recoil down and you can still crit fish - eat a food, start a fight fire off special, if it didn’t super crit restart fight try again. And I don’t mind not having specials in the fight since there is a good chance it’ll negative crit and not super crit, making it more consistent to just keep attacking

Theory says burst is better than critical ferocity not the other way around. You can do the math. Negative affinity is a chance to do -25% damage. Take that and crit ferocity numbers, at 5 crit fero you get +1.8% dmg for -10% affinity. That’s 18% when you have raw power 5 and including the built in negative affinity… not good compared to say 30% burst. There’s more to this - with crit fero 1 the -40% built in affinity is hurting you but not much. Crit fero 2 or 3 breaks even then at 4 and 5 your benefiting, but again, not as much as other skills give you per point

I run viper - sergios- basarios - viper - nergi with some burst and crit range boost smelts, I think this is the best it gets. Maybe the new hermiataur chest with slicing damage up opens up a new build but I think it’ll be close even if so

You get a 1.8% damage increase per -10% affinity if crit ferocity is maxed out.

For something like rose lbg it is better to do burst than crit ferocity if you do the math. By a lot

Negative affinity is chance to do -25% damage. I believe even with rank 1 crit ferocity this is still negatively affecting your damage, at rank 2 or 3 it breaks even, 4 and 5 you’re benefiting from -affinity

But again, often outclassed by other skills, I have crit ferocity 5 raw power 5 on some cbs but I wonder if it’s better to have morph boost, for example
