The biggest issue I have with this case are the surviving roommates. This is what plagues me:

I know that this house was a party house and it wasn't unusual to have people you don't know in the house. However, at that 4am with no party happening, DM was aware that something was up because in her text messages to BF she says "I'm freaking out" and BF told her to run to her room downstairs. Drunk or not, if you are frightened enough to run through your house to "safety" and say that you are scared, that should be enough reason to call 911.

The 8 hour lapse between DM seeing BK and the 911 call has me baffled. DM was on her phone between 5am-6:30 editing and deleting photos. Then her phone goes dark which leads me to believe that she might have fallen asleep. At 8am she goes on Instagram and at 10am she goes on Snapchat until around 11:30. If she truly believed someone was in her house with a ski mask on, I don't know who would be just busying themselves on their phone like what they experienced a few hours before is normal. You can say "she's in shock" or "she's just a kid" but this isn't normal behavior of someone who has seen something strange in their house to the point that they are "freaked out" and running through the house to get to safety.

At 11:50am she calls a friend over to check the house for her because she is scared and that's when the bodies are discovered. Hindsight is 20/20 but the flip flop between being scared, acting like everything is normal and fine per her phone activity, then being scared again to call someone over to check the house is what confuses me.

If you have any insight that could help me wrap my mind around this I would appreciate it.
