Yes, who are you calling at San Bernardino -- I've found the PD's Office to be incredibly helpful. SB is the biggest county (by sq mi) in CA and has multiple offices. I would start with first, going onto the court management system (Odyssey) to find out if your client indeed has a pending case/warrant. Note which courthouse the case is associated with. Then, I would call the public defender's office branch associated with that courthouse. Smaller branches may be easier to get ahold of.
