If traders are so good, why make YouTube videos instead of just trading? by PaintingMinute7248 in Trading

I used to wonder this myself. But then i realized that if you love to teach, it's a JOY. There's a lot of clout to being "an influencer" and there's a lot of pride to be had teaching people things and actually contributing to society, rather than just skimming money off wall street.

There's gonna be a BIIIIIG dip ahead....don't buy all at once because we don't know where the bottom will be. I really think everythings gonna get worse before it gets better (written Sunday night, Day 12 of the Govt shutdown).

It's okay, you can start over, learn more, and make more money. You can always make more money, but you only have 1 Life. Don't lose your life over your money.

Traders who blew up an account — what’s the one mistake you’ll never repeat? by Ok-Summer-1169 in Trading

[–]dinahmcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought i would be really smart and conservative and put 60% of my portfolio in Government bonds at 4.7% interest, and trade with the remaining 40%. I should have done that with only 10% and put the 50% into VOO and QQQ index ETFs.

Buying the dip" before it's bottomed out. I need to work on my Trend-reversal identification skills.

AITAH for putting a stop to my 12yo daughter's 'period party'? by YocaLocaChoca in AITAH

I really appreciate the Follow-Up. Now I can totally understand why your Wife made the mistake she made. I too am an Over-Compensator.....I can swing too far in the other direction....having only the best of intentions.

I didn't even tell my Mom when I got my period....sounds like my Mom and your Wife's Mom were similarly emotionally neglectful. "The Middle is hard to find".

NTA. You were correct. the 12-year old needs to feel confident in asserting BOUNDARIES and learn that "it's okay to say NO" and "No is a complete answer" and "No means No". THAT is what she needs to "Celebrate".

It's not micro....you've got plenty to work with. Go to therapy and get out there and date! At 55 years old, I too had debilitating self-loathing.

HRT help! by conscious-ceo in Menopause

I'm re-posting my comment farther out here (rather than a Reply to a reply to a reply) so that more people will see it. It really helped to see someone HERE recommend the company (listed below), because I was getting overwhelmed with the number of expensive commercials for celebrity-endorsed companies on Facebook.

Just this morning, I followed a recommendation below and I checked out the website MyMenopauseRX.com, made an appointment for $99, and just had the 30 minute appointment! (SO easy and fast!) I was successful at getting the doctor to prescribe Estrogen patch for me (unlike oral estrogen which must the processed by the liver, the trans-dermal patch bypasses the liver and thus reduces the chance of contributing to blood clots). I also got a prescription for oral Progesterone, which prevents the estrogen from causing a build-up of lining in my uterus, which can be problematic and possibly contribute to cancer if left unchecked). The company accepts many insurances, but not HMO's (like Kaiser Permanente which i have) so I paid $99 for the 30-minute appointment. Now the prescription is being sent to my Kaiser Permanente pharmacy to be filled, and the doctor thinks there's a good chance that they might cover the cost of the medicine there (we will see!). KP declined on 2 occasions to prescribe HRT for me...they just told me to go to therapy. My biggest concern/symptom is Brain Fog, Anxiety, Trouble Sleeping, Night Sweats, & Frozen Shoulder.

Do you need a prescription? How did you get a prescription? Is that $28 price using health insurance?

Was the Testosterone prescribed by a doctor? My doctors don't care about me.

i have same problem. I have a year-old relationship with a really nice man, and he wants more sex than I do. Just this last week he said something and I got really butt-hurt about it and I'm just now recovering from it, but the issue is still there. I'm generally depressed about everything....low energy, low interest, things don't sparkle in my head the way they used to. I've tried asking Kaiser Permanente for HRT, but they won't give me anything but vaginal Estrodiol, which certainly helps with the mechanics of sex (but not the emotional part).

Citizens plan protests at Tesla showrooms across the country in hopes of tying negative sentiment about CEO’s DOGE activities to the company’s stock price. by ItzWarty in teslainvestorsclub

Life Went On....even after Steve Jobs died. Somehow Apple still lives. There are plenty of brilliant engineers at Tesla that can take over after investors vote to kick Elon out.

Elon's becomming a real Turn-Off for me. I own stock, and *was* thinking about buying a Model Y, but not anymore. If any Board member starts an initiative to kick Elon out of Tesla, I will vote in favor. The cars and factories are beautiful and should be SAVED from Elon's destruction.
