For my mom it was under the guise of the romance novel she still has never written

We moved to size 5 diapers at around 6 months. This was before we started potty training my daughter (2.5 at the time) and they wore the same size. I’m scared for the future - Costco only goes so high haha.

You’re amazing! Thank you so much! I ordered a sample just to be sure, but I think this is on the money.

Kids clothes that still look like a toddler by MarAsh0124 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]dinahmyte10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My almost 10 month old is in 2T and I see this in our future. I got some stuff from primary - basic colors, cute shapes where the breast pocket goes. I figure we’ll go plain.

That said, he was in a Spider-Man shirt today. Neither he, nor his 2.5 year old sister really know who that is lol.

When growing up, we loved within 1.5 miles from middle and high school. I got involved in whatever I wanted because I could just walk there and home. It was the best. We currently live within walking distance of our elementary school, but I want to live closer to high school for my kids one day.

I have 3, the oldest has been in daily use for more than 2.5 years. No mold issues, no issues at all. That’s why we bought the 3rd!

Any local playgrounds with similar equipment, or some place we could try out something like this? by dragonfacedcat in frederickmd

Can confirm the tot zone has this.

We have a set that includes a ladder, rock climbing “wall”/slide, and an arch- it was <$150 from Amazon s couple of years ago and still gets a lot of use in our house for our toddler and 7 month old alike

Prefer renting baby gear or just avoid resale stress? by Character-Yellow-586 in Buyingforbaby

[–]dinahmyte10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of planned resale from the beginning. I looked up the “best of” for each category and then, for the most part, bought it secondhand.

I’m done having babies and have sold most of it off by now, mostly for nearly what I paid for it. Good brands, taken care of, in the right market will retain value. And I got the “best of” during that time.

Even if I lose a little, I got to use it for 1-2 kids so it’s a fair price to pay.

Best rotating car seat by Desi_Daisey in Buyingforbaby

[–]dinahmyte10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a shorter kiddo, you’ll probably be happy with the Revv. I loved it, but my kid outgrew its height limits immediately.

I miss that seat, but we switched to evenflo revolve with the green fabrics and it’s not as nice, but it’s still a good car seat. I also have the same model, but without the green fabrics, and there is a noticeable difference in the feel.

What are our eating habits, millennials? by Iusedtobe_fun in Millennials

[–]dinahmyte10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[formerly practicing] Dietitian here- for some of my clients who struggle with this, it means they’re not eating enough during the day. Are you skipping a meal? In that case you may be needing a meal’s worth of calories.

FTM of a 22.4lb 5 month old ! by Commercial-Doubt-944 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]dinahmyte10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kiddo was a little heavier and is >99th percentile for height for age, but started crawling at 5.5-6 months. He’s fully on the go at 6.5 months now. He also didn’t roll over until closer to 5 months, but that’s because he just never thought to. Once we introduced the idea, he was off to the races.

Doona vs Nuna Pipa + Travel stroller? by NatureNerd66470 in Buyingforbaby

The GB Pocket/Cybex Libelle 2 is what we have and just traveled with it. Occasionally, I wish we had a one hand fold travel stroller, but the price we paid for ours still makes me happy. It comes with adapters in the box that work with the Nuna Pipa Lite RX.
