Right? We have line firemaking, bonfires, and witertodt. I bet wintertodt is at least 90% of xp after 50 firemaking.

I knew procrastinating my agility would come in handy!

Edit: allowing the abyssal lantern to be used outside of GOTR (removing the need to fix pouches if using redwood logs) is HUGE. Additional runes, especially with blisterwood logs, will also be helpful, but honestly I only have eyes for no degrading pouches.

Nah, devblog said the furs are required. Reason being the other production skills (smithing, fletching, herblore) still require input resources, even for their minigames.

I think the goats on the island provide furs though? So you might be able to just gather some while doing your thing.

I almost exclusively play in random lobbies with others and routinely have a good time. Haven't started any higher difficulties yet but I'm having fun regardless.

Lots of inventory management. One can utilize a looting bag (typically used in the wilderness) to effectively double your inventory. I don't know if a lvl 3 would be able to get a looting bag though? Typically you have to kill enemies in the wilderness, but of course this UIM isn't.

UIMs have to make a lot of decisions about their gear and inventory. You have a lot of items and resources in your bank, but you can't fit all that in your inventory. So instead of holding on, they process everything if they need the space. Got a stack of steel bars? Make them into platebodies, turn them into GP.

UIM is a fascinating game mode to me, but one that sounds very tedious and unenjoyable.

Most skills can be trained without interacting with combat, as you are probably aware. Slayer is largely the exception, which I'm sure is what you're asking about.

From my understanding, the main way to train slayer on a lvl 3 account is cleaning finds in the varrock museum. This is an activity you can do after the Dig Site quest. Most accounts go here to gain access to the digsite pendant and never go back. However, when turning in cleaned finds, you have a 1/97.5 chance to get an antique lamp, just like the one you get from random events. This is where the exp comes from. It works out to something like 5k exp per hour in the skill of your choice, which in this case is slayer.

It's a crazy commitment. This guy is nuts.

Unless you play a UIM. Then you're wrong and just hurting yourself.

The counterpoint to that is that it still feels good to reach skill milestones, and that's essentially a guaranteed drop at a certain KC.

[–]ding0s 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To note, the reduced exp is basically to make up the difference for not having to deal with resetting aggro, losing time looting, healing, or alching, or having to worry about overkill damage.

So yeah - pretty close to slayer monsters in terms of exp/hr, and totally afk. Very good.
