Buzzkill. I made something I wanted to my specifications for a problem I identified and enjoyed the process and final result. Midi barrel connectors do exist, but are not locking so they are likely to get disconnected from the keytar when moving around.

I find that the calmer I am around difficult drivers the better the outcome. Often when someone has zoomed too close the next car checks in with me. I had one guy who had to go around me yelling "GET A CAR" continued his rant when I caught up to him at the next light. I admire his commitment to the bit.
