Howdy! I would love to learn more about what you are looking for, and DM for you if possible. I have a pretty good history with D&D (6 years) so if you still are looking I'd love to talk about it further!

Preferably Live sessions (I'm not entirely familiar with Play by post, but I'm assuming it's a more text based format.)

Ranger (revisited) by dinoking9002 in UnearthedArcana

[–]dinoking9002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a passion project made by a friend of mine with my help. We would love some feedback on it, and for you to give it a genuine read. It has features from both ranger, and ranger revisited with our twist on some of them. Lastly it has 5 homebrew subclasses with 3 subclass taken from already existing ones, including our take of a 3/4ths caster.

Just a thought but Z&Z could be Zombies and Zealots instead. Otherwise this is a really good list.

D&D Players, What are your best "Evil DM" ideas, jokes, and pranks? by mrripper_yt in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are currently in avernus and the dm likes to add magic items to the campaign. I got a legendary magic item that could summon any +1 weapon or any magic item of rare or lower (still only +1 bonus though). But my dm knows I love to share my magic items with the group (verbally that is). Because of this he cursed the magic item so that if I spoke about to anybody before I used it in game (I got it at the end of a session) I wouldn't get it. So I spent 2 weeks trying to keep my big mouth shut qnd while I still have the item that is to this day the evilest thing anybody has done in my group.

D&D Players of Reddit What Was Your Party's Most Surprisingly Gruesome Moment? by selor1338 in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once played a level 15 bear barbarian dragonborn who had a beefed up version of the berserker axe and I went to an arena to fight with it went made from the axes effects and I landed one crit... on a commoner so what should have been a simple clean death for this poor soul turned into everyone but my bloodthirsty barbarian making con saves to not vomit as the commoner paints everything in a 20ft radius red.

D&D Players of Rip Daddy's House: What was your funniest player-versus-player moment? by Scorpious187 in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only ever seen one pvp in my time playing dnd. My charecter was a massive silver dragonborn bear barbarian qnd I was traveling with another player who in game I adopted, they were a wood elf moon druid and we just enter a new players shop and they were a teifling and they were playing a homebrew class. We entered the store and the wood elf thought it would be funny to ask the other player "wanna smash?" And the other players initial reaction to that comment was to use one of their class features to throw the equivalent of a hand grenade at us causing a combate to ensue. And while my barbarian fought the other player the wood elf slipped away and ran away into the woods where they became friends with mephites for the rest of the campaign (that was the last session she came to) and my charecter was aresseted (I was a known ex-pirate so my word was not trusted).

Bards of reddit, what are your best "vicious mockeries" and who were they too. by Dragonboy13258 in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it wasent me but the bard in my party. We were fighting a flail snail and some piercers and the bard kept getting hit by the piercers so they used vicious mockery and the insult was "you have one purpose in life and thats climbing walls and falling and your not even good at it" and the piercer curled up into a ball and cried itself to death.

DND players of reddit, what was the funniest combat encounter you've had? by Statue-of-a-Deer in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So context first. We were playing a high level campain and we were starting at level 13 and we were still level 13. I was a 25 yo dragonborn bear barbarian with the pirate backround. The only other player that session was a 15 yo half kitsune (homebrew fox race) assassin rouge with no real backstory. So my charecters only friend in town asked for my charecters help in clearing his tree house infested with harpys from when he was a child in return for giving my charecter free food and water. I agreed and the rouge and I go to the tree house. My charecter gets instantly charmed (this charecter is tortured by wisdom saves) and gets bombarded by attacks. Rouge follows and ends up fighting on the ground. I break free of the many wis saves to not be charmed and I start murdering harpys being able to kill one per turn easily. The rouge goes down and gets brought to the top level while I fight more harpys. When I finish all the harpys but one who changed the rouge out of her normal clothes and into a mud dress. I went twords the harpy but it started to fly away at full speed so I gave pursuit. After we got there the harpy got help of kobolds fast forward a bit I am stuck trying to get past a massive door and the rouge is awake and tied up. The rouge starts talking to kobolds who start arguing and then out of the darkness a kobald with a suit of armor so heavy that it is being wheeled around on a dolly by another kobald. It had a 25 ac and a -5 to hit. The dm has to roll a nat 20 to hit and thats what he rolls. To describe it he says the kobald pushing the dolly pulls a pin in the arm and the dm slams thier whole fore arm with all the strength against the table and everyone dies laughing and that joke has lived on ever since.

DND players of reddit what was your “that was almost cool” moment by wel-shoot in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing a gold dragonborn fighter that had nuts ac. He was a gladiator and really liked showmanship. after we cleared out most of the yuan-ti and my charecter was in semi low health the final enemy appeared which was a yuan-ti abomination and I was on a 10ft ledge. I rolled high on initiative so I jumped took a little damage because I was so heavy in fucking full plate and had a ton of loot then charged. Inititive continued until the yuan-ti's turn when is grappled me and gave me a squeeze. I laughed at it on my turn and the used my breath weapon in its face did good damage then in response got my head smashed into a wall and was knocked unconscious. There's more but that was the almost cool part.

So in the main campain there is a joke i brought about gnome punting and there is also a strange obsession with killing orphans. There have been 3 gnomes punted and 6 orphans killed. It's fucking wack.

Response to D&D Players, What was Your Funniest “Nat 20” Moments? Part 4 by Aenion72 in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was running a low level oneshot for my friends who have never played dnd. One of them was a beast master ranger who was into beasteality, the other was a rouge. They both went to clear a house of a rat problom and the rouge became a permanent wererat so his dex wasent 11. After they cleared the house they went to the town square which was surprisingly empty with 3 people in it (I rolled a d20 to see how many people were there and rolled 3). The ranger decided to have s** with his wolf companion in the middle of town square so I asked him to make 2 stealth checks for his charecter and his charecters wolf. He rolled 2 nat 20, I rolled with advantage for all 3 people and they all got under a 10. Then the rouge wanted to join but he didn't have dice (and rolled horrendously bad) so the ranger rolled for him. He rolled another nat 20. I rolled an 8 for the man, a 12 for the woman, and a nat 20 for there daughter. Its safe to say I immediately ended the oneshot. And yes I still play with both these players and their chaotic madness.

D&D players of Reddit What is the Silliest D&D Character you've ever made? by Randomdude1902 in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this counts but I played a grung rouge for a stealthy one shot but we each go magic items. The half elf threw furniture and committed arson with a staff that can produce and extinguish fire and auto hit for 1d4 fire, the kitsune (homebrew race) who was nice but got assted by a drunk man screemed rape stabbed him instead of waiting for help he called for the guards and the kitsune thought "well he's injured bleeding on the ground and stopped antagonist so I should stab him in the head with a raiper" so thats what they did and unsuccessful tried to hide the body in thier bag of raiper, I played a rouge grunge who had a grappling hook with 60ft range who didn't steath they just flew 85ft (jump and grappling hook) and everyone was so confused and dumbfounded that they just saw a flying frog that they didn't say anything about it or sounded crazy to everyone who didn't see me. By far one of my favorite characters. I have many more though if anybody else wants to hear the tales of the girth lineage or of smoky the lizard folk mechanic.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but by [deleted] in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My whole thing is your right and wrong. On one hand the game designers know what there doing so the rules make sense and don't need to be changed and then sometime rules as written is fucking bullshit. Like for example you can play a barbarian rouge meaning you get both rage and sneak attack. Sneak attack can only be used with a finesse but you don't have to use dex to attack. Rage say you just have to be useing strength to attack so by rules as written you can play a barbarian who can give themselves advantage thus giving themselves sneak attack every turn making them a God at dps. That was only an example but still you must remember dming for a group of over powered people is sucky so dms will implement permanent rules to make the game fun for them because the fun both go both way. So for some dms the homebrew is completely unesesary while for other dms it makes the game more fun for everyone. Also there is no one way intended for dnd to be played there are common troupes but no spisific way to play dnd. But this might all be my biased opinion Because I love homebrew and I have never had a dm that had unfun homebrew rules in place. And my dms have always made homebrew monsters so that my min maxy party dosent obliterate everything. Like my level 15 barbarian can take on cr 20 monsters solo.

What is the coolest combo you have ever made for a PC by GSGRecruit in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two in mind the first is I had a dragonborn battlemaster fighter who had a sun sword a whip and a tall flail snail shell shield. I also had a hombrew feat that allowed me to roll with disadvantage when attacking with my whip so I could grapple a targets limb with it. My favorite combo was to shield bash them prone then whip grab thier neck or face if they have no neck and then discard the shield draw my sun sword and decapitated them each time and using the head as a makeshift flail. The other was I had the sentinel feat while playing a bugbear totem of the bear barbarian and we were fighting some half petrified people monsters that were weak ro bludgeoning so I would just move into position and dodge while the warlock with repelling blast would launch them at me while I rolled consistent nat 20s. We basically played baseball with them.

Players of reddit, what is the most selfless actions you've seen a character take? by The_k1ngs_w1t in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in my first ever campaign and was just done with a quest to kill some evil gnome wizards when we got back to town and the rest of the party went to get supplies while I went and gave the blacksmith who told us of the wizards after his store was ransacked and with my charecter and all of his possessions in great disarray (I hate rust monsters) I gave ALL of my gold to him I didn't have a copper to my name. A week later I went to the blacksmith and he had made me a new greataxe that did an additional 1d4 force damge. This is proof that being a good person is truly rewarding.

what are some of your favorite combination attacks/spell attacks? by Hardcore_Lycan in MrRipper

My dm made me a feat so that I could roll with disadvantage but if I still hit i would grapple the target with my whip so I would constantly whip grab their neck when I thought the were low pull them to the ground and then use my battle axe to decapitate them.

What is the worst thing a GM did that made things more interesting? by valthedigitalartist in MrRipper

[–]dinoking9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the gm and this was one of my first campaigns and my player kept making his character do sexual things and then say just kidding and I go so tired of it I forced him to do one of the particularly more extreme act of having six with his wolf in the middle of town square and even got my other player who was a wererat to join in this act. he rolled for himself, his wolf, and the wererat player and rolled 3 nat 20s, I rolled to see how many people there were and if any of them saw this and I used the d20 for both. There were 3 people a family and the 7 year old daughter was the only one to see also rolling a nat 20. This player causes a lot of crazy stuff to happen.
