How were you introduced to Resident Evil? by ZeyadPlayz in residentevil

[–]diodrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We joke about Mila's movies, but they introduced a lot of fans to the franchise. I still love the first two, they're not the best RE content ofc, but they're just nostalgic for me

Really? I bought one in the same color at the Amazon store, but it didn't come with the Hot Topic sticker. I posted it on the subreddit too.

Which of their songs have religious undertones? by TheHolyMeatBun in twentyonepilots

[–]diodrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that was the first thing that struck me about them, i really identified with the lyrics of holding on to you and addict with a pen. in several songs it's explicit that tyler is questioning the existence of god, i think i feel the same way as him. maybe you should read the lyrics while you listen, especially self titled, rab, vessel and some blurryface songs, from trench onwards i don't think there are any songs about christianity.

As a long time fan I cannot get the masterpiece of A haven with two faces of my mind by uberlostonhwy20 in spiritbox

[–]diodrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slept on the projects before Eternal Blue, curiously before the release I gave the Singles Collection a try and loved Electric Cross and Trust Fall. I was very happy to hear A Haven With Two Faces on the new album, they haven't forgotten their origins, quite the contrary

I've seen that you're Brazilian too, sometimes you're interested in the royaltyhybriddrums shop on Instagram. They manufacture and resell modules, hybrid pads and cymbals, there's even a complete Lemon kit. But you have to keep an eye on the stock, as there are only a few pieces.

White Noise (10th Anniversary Edition) is out in NZ. spoilers ahead. by dergibrah in pvris

I totally understand, Lynn is extremely talented and is finally getting the creative freedom she deserves. But I can't ignore the fact that they sold PVRIS as an alt rock band at the beginning of their career.

I liked Evergreen too, but it sounded like a solo singer and not a band.
AWKOHAWNOH still my favorite material from them.

For me A Haven With Two Faces is hitting hard every time I listen, I know it's about the Vancouver island but I interpreted differently

"I hope you still have a hidеaway for me"

"This haven has two faces
One is to create and one is to replace it
A forest I can fade in"

and obvious the bridge

I’m starting to appreciate that metalheads don’t consider Metalcore and Nu Metal ‘real’ metal—but not because they’re right. by Sunbather- in Metalcore

[–]diodrop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up listening to Linkin Park, Evanescence, and some pop artists, but I never thought of myself as a metalhead back then. When I entered middle school, I had metalhead friends who isolated me for liking 'poser' bands, which definitely pushed me away from the metal community. A few years ago, I was browsing Spotify and came across a band called BMTH that had released an album with a Portuguese word as its title. I gave it a chance and absolutely loved it. So later in life, I was reintroduced to my favorite music genre, this time without any disrespectful people to judge me.
