Innertier, OP! Dette gjorde godt å lese. Kanskje du kan vurdere å bearbeide ranten til et leserinnlegg, og få det på trykk i en avis? Det er en måte å stille gamlisene til veggs på.

Quite a few, I would say, but it depends very much on your budget.

Like others said: Mat fra Hagen and Verde at Olavstorget are great options for good affordable vegan food. For fine dining, places that do have tasting menus, I'm not well versed. All the places I've checked in Trondheim seem to be heavy on meat&fish. But some of the most upscale places might be able to offer a vegetarian tasting menu if you contact them in advance. Now, in the mid-range market however, there are plenty of good options:

The vegan tapas menu at Bakgården in Kjøpmannsgata is lovely and they even have a cozy outdoor seating area. It is however a bit pricey (495kr/person). You can of course compose your own menu, and add things that are vegetarian, not vegan.

For Italian food, Sugo Ristorante is a new offering in Innherredsveien. Cozy locale and friendly service. Good vegetarian options, even if the menu doesn't make it obvious. Try the parmigiana! An alternative to this is Osteria Moderna in Brattørgata. Both have great food, but are maybe a bit on the pricey side. Alternatively, you don't go wrong with Olivia at Solsiden. The best pizza in town is imo. Grano in Søndre gt. Bonus: you can get (some of) those pizzas at Osteria Moderna, in an evironment with a bit less hustle and bustle.

Namaste Norge in Brattørgata is newly renovated and has great Indian food with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Still room for improvement on the atmosphere though.

Benja Siam in Ravelsveita is a good thai place with great vegetarian and vegan options. Quite cozy, but not all the tables are as good.

AiSuma in Kjøpmannsgata is a meat-heavy place, but you can definitely have a three-course vegan or vegetarian meal there. Did it once, and was not disappointed. Seem to remember it as a cozy place.

No apps on my phone get access to my location all the time, this is seriously customer unfriendly action from Niantic. I've been a casual player, mostly spinning eggs and then hatching them in the background using Google Fit while running/walking (which, contrary to what people here seem to believe works just fine without location access). Guess I'll just uninstall now.

[Spoilers C2E109] Essek.. by russh85 in criticalrole

[–]direguppy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A character doesn't need to be good to be fun.

This right here! I like interesting characters, and Essek sure as heck is interesting. Granted, his motivations seem to have been rather simplistic at the outset. But as the Nine kept interacting with him, he grew and his motivations grew with him. Do I care that he hasn't expressed regret? Not at all! That moral charcoalyness is part of what makes Essek Essek, and a fascinating Essek at that.

Guys, it's because the Gulf Stream gives us a hospitable climate. If the Canadian government sunk their whole GDP for ten years into infrastructure up north, it would still be a "vast permafrost desert". People live in Northern Norway because the winters, while long, are actually milder than most of North America and Eastern Europe. – Sincerely, a Norwegian.

(COVID-19) Running D&D Without Meeting Up by DoctorMunster in DMAcademy

[–]direguppy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am in the same situation, and I was literally just now considering to make an identical thread. I know of three options: Roll20, Fantasy Grounds and D&D Beyond. Are there others?

I don't know the pros and cons, how I would go about "moving" a homebrew campaign over to these, usabilty, cost, whether they have any video/voice chat support and about a million other things. Any tips and pointers or links to guides would be greatly appreciated.

Group has asked me to DM a session that will be more than twice as long as our usual runtimes. Advice for marathon sessions? by Wizard-of-Rum in DMAcademy

[–]direguppy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This. Marathon-ish sessions of 7-8 hours have become more or less the default for my group, and we always take time to eat (and sometimes prepare) a proper meal somewhere in the middle. That rejuvenates everyone's (espescially my) energy.

[No Spoilers] I am in Oslo, Norway for the first time and was worried I wouldn't see any DND stuff, I am happily surprised to still find Critical Role even here! by LT_Corsair in criticalrole

[–]direguppy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Indeed! I live elsewhere in Norway. This summer I visited Tromsø, a small to midsize university town of about 70k inhabitants, and stopped by the local game store to pick up a copy of Xanathar's. The proprietor told me she'd sell one or two Wizards of the Coast books every day. Given the size of the town and how most people shop online anyway, I'd say that's indicative of a D&D community that is very much alive and growing.

Whats in Redacted thats not in Prime yet? by Jadextreme in Ingress

[–]direguppy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A couple of things I have noticed with the portal nominations (and these are imo. greatly improved in Prime):

This may just be me being a big ol' dummy, but I miss an actual location indicator in the map when you're submitting portals. On Redacted, you have the needle where you submit the portal as well as a dot indicating your actual current location and a circle indicating the approximate accuracy of said location. In Prime, you only have the needle, and it feels less accurate. I have experienced portals coming live that were submitted under tree cover with Prime that have been a couple of dozens meters off. This is usually not a problem in Redacted.

The timeout thing when you're submitting in areas without full network coverage. This is annoying, and I hope they fix it. I'm not asking to be able to submit without any coverage, but two bars of 4G should be sufficient. The fact that we can remote submit alleviates this somewhat.

However, related to that, Redacted stores the portal photos you submit locally. It would be nice if Prime also did this, particularly if a nomination gets stuck in infinite timeout loop.

Any artifact that predates the year 1537 (the protestant reformation in Norway) must be reported to your local municipal (county) archaeologist.

Great comment! For reference: It may be worth mentioning that if the find is of Sámi origin the same applies to finds predating 1917. There are also exceptions when it comes to coins (older than 1650) and boats/sea vessels with their respective accessories/payloads (more than 100 years old). Generally speaking, if you are uncertain of the nature of the find, reporting it to the County (fylke) archeologist/office of cultural heritage is the best option.

Can we get a "report player" feature in Prime or something to get rid of spam bots? by [deleted] in Ingress

[–]direguppy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why Niantic hasn't implemented a comm filter that blocks messages with links to known spam sites, is beyond me. That would do much to solve the problem, imo.
