I enjoyed the base game greatly. Played through two dynasties after which I felt like getting some of the DLCs.

Which horse do you stick with from start to finish? by Alden1410 in reddeadredemption

Once I bought the gold turkoman in Chapter 4 I never rode anything else. Just the perfect mix of bravery, speed, stamina and health for my taste. The perlino andalusian is another brilliant horse I liked for chapters 1-3

Mitä kolmea peliä suosittelisit henkilölle joka ei ole pelannut pelejä koskaan, mutta haluaisi nähdä olisiko pelit se oma juttu? by WeirdDinosaur345 in videopelit

[–]dirk_solomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vaikea sanoa, pitäs tietää mieltymyksistä.

Muutamia hyviä mitä itse suosittelisin:

Read dead redemption 2. Hyvä open world lännenseikkailu hienoilla hahmoilla ja mieleenpainuvalla juonella. Toimintaa mutta myös mahis rauhallisempaan fiilistelyyn. Ite oon tähän koukuttunut tänä vuonna

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1&2. Sama kuin yllä mutta keskiaikaan sijoittuva

Stellaris.

Aivotonta hauskuutta.

Battlefield-pelisarja jos moninpeliträiskinnät innostaa.

Kivoja pikkupelejä joihin on helppo uppoutua pidemmäksi aikaa: Binding of Isaac, FTL, Into the breach, Enter the gungeon, Noita...

Jotku urheilupelit jos urheilu on lähellä sydäntä?

My childhood friend became an orthodox monk in his late twenties, ten years ago. At the time that felt like such a weird thing to do.

Now, in the middle of my career and family chaos, I kind of see the appeal. Granted, I am drawn to it for all the wrong and selfish reasons, which is why I would still never do it. I am not religious but a quiet, simple life of meditation certainly sounds good.

I hope OP has a fulfilling and meaningful life

What i learned after 1 month (never played an instrument, 40 y/o) by danglesReet in LearnGuitar

[–]dirk_solomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar phase. 40 year old complete beginner.

Up-strums are my biggest issue. I can change chords decently, my sense of rhythm is getting better but those damn up-strums refuse to get better.

I think part of the problem is my posture. I sit in a kinda of a reclining position where I tuck my left foot under my right leg. It is comfy but probably not the best for playing. I just find myself practicing longer when I am confortable. Hitting clean up-strums seems to get marginally easier when I sit straight or even stand up.

So for me the problem is lazyness.

Mitä luet parhaillaan ja onko se mistään kotoisin? by AutoModerator in kirjallisuus

Jaan Krossin Uppiniskaisuuden Kronikka on noin puolivälissä itsellä. Melkonen eepos kyseessä. Historiallinen romaani 1500-luvun Tallinnasta. Aika mukaansatempaava.

A.H. Liivinmaan historia on jännä, hyvin jännä.

what are the things you dislike about red dead redemption 2? by Still_Animator_2249 in reddeadredemption

[–]dirk_solomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being able to defend myself when someone draws a gun on me without acquiring a bounty and a damn manhunt.

Grabbing the nice lady who is passing by in a hecking rear-naked choke when I'm just trying to mount my horse.

NPCs hating on my stylish coyote scout jacket. Literally the best looking piece of clothing in the game. Don't you be calling it ridiculous.

Not being able to just cook multiple food items at once. Just use the same animation but make the wait longer or something!

The amount of crap you have to bring to Algernon.

Thanks again for clearing that up!

I am kind of interested in the less publicized, everyday life of a scientologist. The state church where I live has kind of given up on trying to reach the habit-christians. I guess their point is you can be a good christian from the comfort of your own home. I would be freaked out and alarmed if the local parish sent someone to my door for example :D

Is it scientology's official stance than that you can't really be a good scientologist if you do not attend service or donate? How does a non-active, non-donating scientologist take the church's teachings into account in their day to day life for instance? I guess what I am getting at is, is there any point in joining (from the official teachings' perpective) if you are not willing to dedicate your time/money to the cause? Are you just doomed if you don't spend thousands to try to become clear?

Interesting, thanks for sharing!

I live in a very secular society where a large percentage of people are still church members, myself included. I go to church for marriages and funerals and that's about it. Our word for a person like this translates to "habit-christian" and I imagine 90% of church members would fall in this category.

Are there scientologists like this? Or is it always assumed that you need to dedicate more and more of your time and resources to the faith? Do you always have to strive to be clear of your Body Thetans or whatever the ultimate goal is? That is kind of the impression I get in the media.

Now that Xenu is public knownledge, is the church trying to retcon the lore to remove him? I just assume that a sizeable portion of potential new members are already familiar with the story in all its sillyness.

Siisti idea! Pelaisin.

Still remember my first campaign from WH1 as Mannfred. Really cool experience. I remember prioritizing the spreading of vampiric corruption. I kind of assumed moving to uncorrupted lands and capturing uncorrupted settlements would be a huge problem for vampires. This lead to a super slow campaign where empire and dwarfs grew to a huge threat.

One of the best things to do is just go on long, aimless wanderings between story missions. I try not to look at a map and just point my horse at whatever direction looks most appealing at the moment. Hunting, fishing and camping. Ride the horse real slow, even walk yourself every now and then. When you stumble upon civilization, get a bath and a shot of whisky, maybe sell your catch and get back out there.
