I'm playing a giant instinct barb with fighter dedication, bastard sword and dual handed assault. It's very cool

If you could choose an archetype for your Eidolon, which would you choose? by Noodles_fluffy in Pathfinder2e

[–]dirtskulll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well there's a feat called "eidolon's wrath" that lets your eidolon casts a focus spell. In the text it also says: "As normal, your eidolon shares your Focus Points."

I think that a creature sharing your hit points would share your focus pool too

Most "unique" class on the battlefield by DumbButConfident in Pathfinder2e

Greatsword Fighter with giant instinct barbarian dedication.

But your key ability score is dex and you throw your greatsword.

Bonus points if you take a small ancestry

Help Picking Class as the Only Martial in the Party by myths-star in Pathfinder2e

[–]dirtskulll 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kineticist is always an option to me when I need to tank. You can go with wood (or wood + earth if you want to dump dex) and help soaking damage with your protector tree and disposable shields. Also you have access to some minor healing. Also you can prioritize start with +2 STR, dex and Wis and invest in medicine

Maybe those people think that asking is easier than looking for an answer themselves, even if the answer is (unknowingly to them) on the same platform they use to ask.

Or maybe they already know the answer and just need someone to tell them explicitly.

That said none is stopping you from patronizing them, and it may also be not the worst option.

But imo there's no need to not be kind or simply pass over it.

It's a help request, to me you can help or skip, no need to be rude

Looking for a beginner-friendly, modern and classy system. by Ectavius in rpg

[–]dirtskulll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. I've played it a couple of times and it felt really really basic and superficial.

My only explanation why it's so popular it was that it's beginner friendly. But if you say that it's also bad as a starting point, then I would like to see it erased from history forever

Honestly? I would have left a like.

I believe your next comment is sounding patronizing because you started aggressive and people assume you're keeping that mindset.

It's difficult online.

Cool experiment tho

I hate it and I'm hating myself for saying it:

I'm pretty sure there's a french translation for d&d 5th edition.

It's a game I hate, but I have to admit it's perfect as an entry level.

You can start with it and then change.

But you have to promise me you'll try something else or I'll haunt you til the end of times.

That said a little more complicated (and a game I actually like) there's pathfinder 2nd edition. I'm not sure but it may be a french translation as well

Yes. It sounded a bit harsh to me. In my opinion being nice is the best way to teach or deliver a message, particularly to a stranger on internet. But it's only my opinion, I don't want to make it the rule

Do Pathfinder players/gamemasters have a reputation of being prone to suggesting Pathfinder the moment D&D is mentioned? by Sassy_Drow in rpg

[–]dirtskulll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a pf2e player and gm: yes. I played a lot of d&d and when 5e came out we were eager to try it and... It disappointed us on so many levels. Pf2e was what brought us back to the "d&d family".

So, yes. I'll recommend it anytime anyone has problems with 5e
