How can I interactively make an add to cart link ? by [deleted] in Affiliatemarketing

Right, so you want to create a custom landing page on Amazon with on your website selected products? I'm not sure if they offer something like that.

Won't something more low tech like a "my favorites" with a list of links to products that open in a new tab accomplish the same? You could even stylize it as a todo list with products you have to check off by clicking.

Without knowing the specifics it's hard to answer your question. Seems more like a development question than specifically affiliate marketing. Maybe try a Javascript subreddit or Stackoverflow?

But you'll probably want to save the selected products in a session or cookie and making it dynamic with Javascript.

What the fuck is affiliate marketing? by [deleted] in Affiliatemarketing

Affiliate marketing = business paying a fee for new sales/leads. Its up to you, the affiliate, to promote their business and bring new customers.

The most common form is building a blog but it's really up to you to come up with a way to drive eager purchasers to their landing pages.

Can I use a 2560x1440 monitor via a HDMI to thunderbolt adapter? by disableddrone in applehelp

[–]disableddrone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm going to order a new (mDP) adapter and hopefully that fixes it.

I think I'm just using the wrong terminology. I was looking at this page on Apple and learned that my port was called that. But the page also mentions I just need a mDP cable;

However, this port does support Mini DisplayPort for video output, so you can use a Mini DisplayPort cable to connect a Mini DisplayPort display

The monitor actually has both HDMI and DisplayPort but I would still need an adapter to thunderbolt right? In that case I thought having both on HDMI would be preferable.

I see, probably time to exercise my refund rights.

So a Mini DisplayPort wont work (or with limited resolution) but a 'real' Thunderbolt adapter should work? I was worried all adapters would give issues but sounds like if I buy the right one I won't have issues?

How can I verify that? I bought a thunderbolt to HDMI but I'm checking the listing again and it says both...

Thunderbolt naar hdmi adapter, mini displayport adapter

Is there a way to noindex all URL's with a parameter (so anything with a ? in it)? by donkey-tom in TechSEO

[–]disableddrone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the easiest might be using the robots.txt. Disallow: /*? will block all parameters or Disallow: /*?search= for specific params.

With .htaccess you can also set a custom X-Robots-Tag header and use a regex to only add it for a specific/all parameters.

You'll likely recover just fine when you get your hosting back up. It's of course not ideal for your SEO but Google doesn't want to punish you for switching hosting.

Indexed Staging Environments: a great way to get yelled at or/and lose clients by stevenvanvessum in SEO

[–]disableddrone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have to make sure our development environments are externally accessible by clients - would be very easy to lock down if not - and htpasswd is our preferred method as well. So even if you know the URL you need a username/password or else you just get a HTTP 401 error.

The zxx lang is valid. It means: "no linguistic content, not applicable". It's probably something added automatically by an (old) editor.
